The only thing this pairing of films has in common is the director. Closed Set: The New Crew is filled with top-notch porn stars whose performances mostly get washed out in a choppy series of orgies and encounters. Joe Gage Sex Files Vol. #1 is strictly a group jerk-off movie that goes on for an hour and a half, seeming to bore even the participants.
Closed Set: The New Crew, which is often seen through the viewing lens of ‘camera men’ in this faux making-of-a-porn movie, opens with Carlos Morales’s amazing ass and Michael Brandon’s amazing cock. Brandon fingers, tongues, and spanks that bubble butt, but unfortunately, doesn’t put his huge cock to work on it! There is also an all-out orgy featuring ass rimming and loads of great cocksucking, including the presence of Chad Hunt’s monster dick.
However, the stunningly beautiful Colton Ford is the real star here. He sucks a series of cocks through a row of glory holes, devours the cocks of mustached daddy bear Ben Archer and thin Adam Wolfe, and gets his phenomenal muscle ass rimmed by Archer as Wolfe pries apart his pretty pink pucker. How you want Archer to fuck that man ass, but it never happens. Total let down. However, Colton looks wonderful with their cum all over his facial hair. But his shining moments (and the film’s) are with his real-life lover, Blake Harper. Colton truly makes love to Blake’s pulsing pucker, sucking it so deeply it begins to turn inside out. After sex, the movie ends fantastically—Colton’s face turning red with pleasure as Blake jams a finger up his ass so he can jerk himself to climax.
Joe Gage Sex Files Vol. 1 starts problematically. Jesse, a cute dark-haired guy, waits for other men to show up at a J.O. party. He pops in a video to warm up—and we are treated to images of a vagina getting pumped. Personally, I hate these phony setups. I know the men in my gay adult films like having sex with men. Spare me the vaginas. Jesse has a surprisingly thin cock for the first guy on-screen to whip it out. The party starts when the meatier guys arrive—bearded cutie Earl, and beefy, goateed Jeff. Initially, it’s hot watching these men reaching for lube on a coffee table and jerking themselves and each other off while predominantly clothed. A more motley, ‘straight’ looking crowd arrives, with a variety of nationalities (but no African-American guys). Unless you are incredibly into guys sitting around jerking off for an hour and a half, looking incredibly bored at times, this movie will not keep your interest. The best moment is when one sexy dark-haired guy actually gets on his knees and sucks off two separate men as they lay back and enjoy—but that is the only non-J.O. moment. The final series of climaxes are quite hot, but the bottom line is, it’s not worth sitting through all the build-up to see them.
As a 2-in-1, these films do not work together. Closed Set: The New Crew has some spectacular moments but many wasted big name porn stars. Sex Files Vol. #1 is a real fetishist’s film—you have to be heavily into just watching guys jerk-off to remain entertained by this J.O. video. Most people who get their hands on this two pack are most likely going to find themselves always reaching for either one film or the other, but not both.
