Sick
of the plastic princesses of porn, and even the nubile naturals
of the amateur world? In steps BarelyEvil.com, a collection of photos
of tattooed, pierced, dyed-haired and alabaster-skinned gothic queens
posing in circumstances from kinky to classy.
The
girls here are universally gorgeous within the given aesthetic,
and they range in wildness from Gauge, a flexible, dirty-blond-haired
knockout with no distinguishing body marks aside from a perfect
pair of breasts, to Rachel Face, a woman with white-and-blue hair,
a face full of metal, and a body like a tattoo artist’s canvas.
The vast majority, though, are pale girls with dark hair, perfect
skin, lots of eye makeup, and some body mods.
This is clearly a site for those who are into something a bit different,
and who want some art along with their erotica. Some of the shoots
reflect this desire, like the shotgun shoot with Lydia Lashes, shot
starkly against a white background so that the black hair, black
eyeliner, and black boots seem to burst
out of the light of her skin and the surrounding air, pointing the
viewer to her forbidding black gun. And Dana’s vibrant “Metal”
shoot, with the saturated, contrasty red of her cherry-colored hair
practically bleeding against the turquoise walls and shiny, lurid
black door behind her. Sadly, though, many of the shoots deny us
this added eroticism, and instead seem to be shot with a flash camera
that washes out much of the character of the models. Scar and Voltaire,
for instance, are luminous in tattoos, blue hair extensions, and
pale perfect beauty, but some of their luster is taken from them
by the washed-out quality of the light in their bathroom set. And
many of the sets, though sexy in their own right, don’t seem
to rise far above the usual porn aesthetic: brightly-lit, ordinary-looking
room featuring a pretty girl stripping and playing with herself.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that! But from a site
like this, one expects more.
Luckily,
there’s much more – there are pages upon pages here
of galleries, and besides the above types of aesthetic, there are
also shoots seemingly done with a simple digital camera, like Midnight
at Home, a series of a foxy goth diddling herself in front of her
computer in a regular-looking young person’s apartment. In
this sense, BarelyEvil covers all the bases: there are the impossible
pin-up fantasies in blinding, livid colors, the simple, straightforward
porn shoots, and the reality shoots that make you feel like you
could actually hook up with these girls.
Navigation is simple and straightforward here, with a toolbar that
takes you to the various, clearly-labeled sections (Gallery Girls,
Hot Profiles, Sexy Videos, and so on)
always open in a frame at the side of the page, and the picture
galleries have arrows that allow you to flip through the shots (though
no button to take you back to the girl’s entire set, only
to the main galleries page). The site is rounded out with chat rooms,
kinky stories, and games for a streamlined, yet complete, porn site
experience.
This might not be your one-stop shop for artsy, original goth and
punk porn (video here is scant as well), but it’s a great
start, it’s cheap, and it’s interactive – chat
with other members, vote on your favorite girls, make suggestions
for scenes and layouts, or make your point in the forum.
