While twisting under the sheets with a new lover is an enticing proposition, untwisting a new condom to try with said lover can be an anxiety provoking one. There are always questions with trying out a new condom. Will it fit? Is it dependable? Will it give me pleasure or is it just there for safety’s sake? Huh, sounds kind of like the questions you’d ask about that lover, too. Happily, the answers with the condom come a little more easily and such is the case with the Fe+Male condom from Adam and Eve. While the packaging, featuring something resembling a pot plant, might deter some, as might the somewhat hokey name, the condom itself need not provoke any anxiety at all.
First, the basics: the Fe+Male is a natural rubber latex condom that comes pre-lubed. While the packaging claims it uses four times the amount of lubricant of other condoms, I didn’t notice a discernable difference; the lube was enough although not excessive. Those who usually experience vaginal dryness will likely still want to use additional lube. The condom itself is green and is fairly thin. It’s quite durable; even my attempts to rip it using my fingers proved futile. Why it’s called a Fe+Male condom is beyond me, given that it’s a standard male condom without ribs or any of the other stylistic marketing designed to be women friendly.
My partner experienced some problems untwisting the condom on his penis, but he was slightly above normal in size; those men who usually find themselves needing a larger sized condom might want to consider this. The condom held up through vigorous thrusting and various position changes without either leaks or rips. My partner felt safe with it on and noted that the thinness increased his sensitivity. As a woman, I didn’t notice much of a difference between this and a standard condom, but this has its pros; there weren’t any negative points to mention either.
The Fe+Male condom does the job that you need it to do. To continue the lover analogy, it’s like an old standby fuck buddy; it’s good and dependable, but nothing special. I would rush out to make its acquaintance, but if it’s a choice between that or a night alone, go with the Fe+Male. It certainly doesn’t hurt to add to your repertoire.
