Getting the night started is always tough, especially if you are a bit tired. Friday nights come to mind. You had to get up for work, and then you got tired after spending all day playing the corporate game. By the time you get to the bar, you’re wondering how you’ll make it to last call.
Sometimes, the drink you choose at the beginning of the night can make the difference. On a recent Friday night, I walked over to Prohibition, my neighborhood bar, to get started. I figured I’d need some help after writing all day. The bartender offered me a Skyy High.
And shortly after I drank it, I was set for the night.
Skyy High is incredibly easy to make. All you need is Skyy Vodka, Red Bull and ice.
Fill a glass with ice—the larger the better. Also, R. Pietsch recommends using ice cubes made from bottled water. Apparently, it makes a difference. Next, pour two shots of Skyy into the glass over ice. Finish it off with as much Red Bull as you can fit in the glass. You’ll have no trouble making it to the end of the evening. If only Skyy High could ensure you wouldn’t go home alone . . .
