 It’s an undeniable fact that when attempting to build a comprehensive site dedicated to porn stars who can be considered “legends,” one is bound to leave out those specific aspects that longtime fans of adult film will find to be inexcusable. PornStarLegends.com is a good example of a simply executed site that celebrates the adult star of yesteryear through photo and video content, but it can’t be declared a definitive source for the porn researcher, because it doesn’t include enough material or background information, and really only serves as a starting point for newbies to begin their trivia training.
 Divided into screenshots and session snapshots, the photo archive is relatively slim and focuses primarily on performers from the 80s and 90s, with only a few B&W thumbnails of a moustache-missing John Holmes. They are surely pics available from the 70s "Golden Age" of porn; video was just being ejaculated into its mother's womb. Regardless of the missing section of timeline, half-a-dozen pages offer decent-quality pics (many of which aren't overly flattering) of Christy Canyon, Hypathia Lee, Nikki Dial, Ashlyn Gere, Tiffany Mynx, Nici Sterling, Rebecca Wild, Kaitlyn Ashley, Chasey Lain, Savannah, Anna Malle and a few other glamorous gals who were likely somehow involved in many of the generation’s inaugural VHS whack-off sessions.
 The movie section is considerably larger and offers a farther-spanning selection of scenes starring erotic pioneers Seka, Vanessa del Rio, Ginger Lynn, Jeanna Fine, PJ Sparxxx, Kylie Ireland, Nina Hartley, most of the ladies from the photo archives, and other notable names. The number of scenes per star varies, as each is separated into streaming Windows Media Player clips that are about 90 seconds each, buffer very quickly and can also be downloaded in their entirety. The quality of all of these is excellent, and the transfers of the older films happen to be exceptionally sharp, with a nicely preserved, blemish-free picture, and clean audio.
 While special consideration is given here to Linda Lovelace’s gag-defying scenes from Deep Throat, the mustachioed version of John Holmes reappears in a handful of clips lugging along his equally as legendary wiener. There are definitely a few questionable inclusions here though; plenty of glaringly obvious exclusions; some sloppily repeated page entries; and, on a sad note, the late Savannah and Anna Malle are both completely absent from this section altogether.
 Overall, PornStarLegends.com tries to offer a nice tribute to the performers who paved the sticky way for the on-screen screwers of today and tomorrow. But, without any of those eye-catching extras that draw subscribers or an overwhelming visual history that fully encapsulates and authentically captures 30+ years of porn in all its gooey glory, this is really only a half-erect foundation, rather than a fully aroused hall of fame.
