I thought it was a strictly European erotic artist practice to create high-concept photography sites in which each gallery is designed to have the look and feel of a magazine cover; I was obviously wrong. Nudelements.com, a site created by Russian photographers and featuring native women of the various Russian satellite countries, utilizes the same cover concept, and focuses the settings in which the models pose, around the theme of the four elements: earth, wind, fire and water. What ensues is, in fact, a high-concept, high-quality photographic presentation featuring many beautiful young ladies with beautiful bodies, striking many creatively orchestrated poses, in many breathtaking and distinctive surroundings.

Even though only photo content is offered, the site features a large quantity of it, with each “magazine” containing hundreds of high-resolution shots. Some of the models appear in several settings but are given an almost entirely different look in each one. Whether it’s cutely blonde Masha Playing violin--as her dress slowly cascades down from her shoulders past her hips--in: “A Private Violin Concert,” or in "Young Piano Player," where she’s sitting in front of a piano while slowly unlacing a pink corset—the results are enough to make even the most jaded critic of photography-based sites interested.

All of the contributions can be considered “softcore.” Even though the majority of the models strip down to full nudity, there is no display of spread genitals, and no penetration by toys or men. All of the girls have lean, taught and toned muscles, with smooth skin that literally glows under the different light arrangements. The four element concept is the focus, and it’s left to the interpretation of the viewers as to how they wish to analyze each artistic display. The “water” section contains showers, lakes, rivers, and rocks that border oceans, while the “fire” photos feature some fire and a few expensive-looking cars, but also incorporates some slightly more sinister-yet-playful bondage paraphernalia-based scenarios.

The “earth” section has your more traditional lying-on-the-bed and standing-in-the-studio-barely-dressed-in-an-assortment-of-costumes picture plots. The "Scarlet Memories" set featuring red-robed Svetlana straddling alarge bust of communist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, is a simple, yet powerful image that nicely contrasts Katrina's gymnastic encounter with a treadmill in "Stronger." It’s in the “air “section that I think the most interesting shots were taken, with many of the girls acrobatically hanging from the heights of balconies, high up with feet tangled between two curtains, and caught in a web of ropes. “Gravity” is an optical illusion with petite brunette Olesya posing in and alongside a large, cushioned couch-chair that’s suspended by strings which make it appear as if it's floating. In “Jumping for the Sun,” Veronika climbs in between the iron rungs and steel frame of an electricity-generating wind turbine as the sun reflects off of her oiled nude body.

Nudelements.com contains many elements of high-quality photography seen only in certain types of professional adult-art sites. It is an art collection that is worth looking at for not only the beautiful models that it contains, but the fact that it doesn’t always have to be graphic and explicit displays of sex to be arousing.
