Toronto must be the new New York City.
Here
comes www.guysinthecity.com, with its snowy weather and tall skinny
guys bearing French Canadian accents. This strange import is called
“QueersInTheCity.com” in Canada, but once you cross the border back
to the states, those “queers” are just regular “guys.”
The website set-up is simple enough with a fairly straightforward
home page. The viewer is treated to a variety of “episodes” with
options to view as photo sets or video clips. And, I’m happy to
report, the clips are indeed downloadable as well as in streaming
format.
GuysInTheCity.com
seems to catalogue the exploits of two models (and I use the word
“model” in its starkest sense) Cedrick and John. Both remind me
of the type of guy you’d end up settling on at 1:45 in the morning
when you’re particularly horny and the best of the crop has left
for the evening.
The
folks who run the site have come up with some pretty routine scenarios
to get Cedrick and John on film with new models. For example: “You’re
lost and can’t find your way – how about we head back to my place
and look at maps! Just ignore the camera over there.” Or this one:
“I want to buy some dildos from you, but not sure which one is best.
How about we try them out together?” And the classic: “Hmmmm…let’s
order a PIZZA!”
The sex is usually between two partners and remains pretty vanilla
with the exception of some dildo play. None of the models are unattractive,
but none of them really get your engine going either. I enjoyed
models Ricardo and Nicholas, but having them paired with tired old
Cedrick and John took the starch out of my shorts.
The
clips are well-made and well-edited but unfortunately nothing new
has been added since May 4th of this year. And the bonus content
offered here is primarily hetero.
The site had me wondering if the webmaster was attempting some
kind of send-up of “Sex And The City.” Too bad – Cedrick and John
are no Carrie and Samantha and while I love Toronto, New York City
it ain’t.
