 Gaythrills.com is sort of your standard, all-purpose gay porn mega-site. The preview page promises over 100,000 pics, and I believe them. Its porn-ucopia feel makes Gaythrills a great site for people who aren’t really sure what they’re looking for.
 Rather than focusing on a particular theme or genre, the site offers a nice mix of the usual man-smut suspects: twinks, bears, ethnic guys and military. There’s even a gallery devoted to each in the “Photo Albums” section. It’s almost like a primer for gay porn neophytes. College freshmen with their first high-speed Internet connection or “curious” suburban husbands are sure to find something that raises their, uh, interest.
 The galleries consist primarily of solo spreads so you have to go hunting for the real action. The “Hardcore” and “Group Sex” galleries are safe bets. A lot of the guys are a little on the average side of cuteness. It doesn’t look like there’s much airbrushing or waxing going on at these photo shoots, many of which seem like they took place at someone’s condo with a disposable camera back in ’95. But, all that actually adds a kind of naughty appeal. These could be guys you see on the subway, or who live in your apartment building.
There are definitely some buried gems here, like the built-with-a-capital-B security guard, smirking from behind his sunglasses. This guy’s ass could have coined the term “bubble-butt!” There’s also a sun-kissed California surfer who could give Ken Ryker a run for his money.
A few of the galleries could use a little work. There are only white guys in the “Interracial” section; the guys in the “Mature” gallery look like they might be in their mid-thirties; some of the “Twinks” could comb their chest hair. The guys are hot, though, so a little disorganization is forgivable.
The video page is basically a smattering of different clips from an array of other websites. It’s like a sampler of all those sites you didn’t pay for, but instead of painfully short PG-rated clips, you get full access to selected content. The same goes for the sites labeled “XXX Feature” and “Bonus Site” on Gaythrills’ front page. You can also rate the quality of the videos. The highest rated clips appear on the front page under “Members Choice,” for those of us who are picky about our porn.
Along with all the predictable movies and photo galleries, there are some interesting surprises on Gaythrills. There’s a pretty hot anime gallery and a couple of digitally enhanced dick spreads that prove that some people’s eyes are definitely bigger than their mouths. The erotica page has some surprisingly decent stories. Check out the “Sergeant Bull” series by someone called “the Hitman.”
Then there’s the “Arcade” featuring naughty computer games. Who needs solitaire when you can play “Sextris” or “Strip Black Jack?” The better you do in a game the more you get to see of a random dirty picture, although I have to admit, I got a little too into my game and forgot about the porn!
