Stop me if you've heard this one before: there's this van full of horny buff guys, and it drives around southern California, picking up cute unsuspecting women to have energetic sex with them... What's that you say? You've heard it a million times before? You'd rather hear the one about the plumber who's here to fix the lonely housewife's pipes?

Well, sorry, but if you're looking for a new and different scenario, you're not going to find it here: gangbangsquad.com is by-the-books reality porn, complete with smart-aleck commentary from the male talent, a bare minimum of plotting, shaky hand-held camerawork, radiantly pretty girls making implausible noises, and an intelligence-insulting denouement, all drenched in the inevitable southern California sunshine.

Further complicating things here is that it's really going to be a matter of personal taste whether gangbangsquad.com even lives up to its title. Almost all of the movies here feature one girl taking on three boys: is that a “gangbang” or just a “really good party?” Personally, I tend to think that the bang-ers in a gangbang should at least be able to play one side of a volleyball game, if not a soccer match, but your mileage may vary.

...and I guess that's a whole lot of grousing about a site that I'm handing a 4 rating, so I'll (mostly) stop now, because whoever does the talent casting for gangbangsquad.com is an unsung genius. I can't claim to have watched more than a good, hopefully representative sample of the many, many movies here, but each and every one of them features a woman who is more than a match for the men she is taking on. Usually on a site like this, you have to wade through a dozen women who look bored, annoyed or in pain before you hit that one magic one who can even simulate enthusiasm competently: here the spitfires seem to outnumber the duds by at least three to one. That's an unheard-of ratio, which makes it even more aggravating that almost every movie ends with the genre-standard “kick the dumb bitch out without paying her” act: never mind that it's stupid and disrespectful, it kinda breaks the suspension of disbelief that after a performance like most of these women give you'd want to give them anything other than a medal and a marriage proposal. (My absolute favorite performer, a European hellion named Mandi, gets spared this treatment on the grounds that she gave too good a performance for it: they're right. Start with her, trust me.) But whatever: on the whole here, the sex is raw, hard, frenzied and really, really hot.

Technically, there's little to complain about here: all of the movies stream in a player window, and are cut into 5-minute chunks available in narrowband and broadband Windows Media and Quicktime formats. (Helpful hint: only Quicktime lets you rewind.) Each movie comes with several dozen still previews, the site is pretty easy to navigate, and you get free access to half a dozen or so other sites in the same network... but you might never get around to exploring those, because there's over 70 videos right here. Assuming you can cope with the narrative cliches and have a liberal definition of what constitutes a gang, this squad is bang on.
