Ah, it’s quite a fantasy, isn’t it? Coaxing the reluctant but horny into letting their pendulum swing the other way for a while … making some curious married guy feel things he’s never felt before … or showing a public homophobe the error of his logic in private. The appeal of the straight acting, bi-curious guy endures throughout gay culture. Call it internalized homophobia, a need to assimilate, or what have you, but it’s ultimately a puzzle for pundits and is beyond our pervy, prurient purview, so let us proceed.
CuriousHunks.com … well, there’s not much to say about it that I haven’t said about portals before. This site is yet another in the Platinum line-up, and contains the same links to the same feeds and galleries and the same bonus content like X-rated games and online toy and video stores. Platinum’s content typically runs average to good, and their strength appears to be the quality of the photo galleries. Like most of the portals, the shots are mainly solo poses; it took me a while to track down the hardcore stuff. The majority of the guys here are twinks, so those into bears and Honcho types are better off investing elsewhere. Many of the actors have a definite amateur look, which is great if that’s what you’re into, but some just plain aren’t hot.
I am going to slap Platinum’s wrist for making the big portal faux pas and not delivering on their advertising. I only found one video feed, Bye Bi-Boys, themed to straight guys “exploring their sexuality”, although I suppose the amateurs on the site could be gay-for-pay. A little hedging is one thing, but the entrance page explicitly promises lots of straight-on-straight action. CuriousHunks.com isn’t bad for a portal, so why the deception? Sites who insist on pulling the bait and switch must not be looking to make more than what the trial memberships pull in.
