I took this assignment with such enthusiasm. I opened the URL with excitement. Briana Banks is a scorcher, for sure. What could possibly go wrong?! The pages load, I scroll through, tongue hanging half out at the sight of the sultry seductress. Finally, it’s time to dive in and see what I can see. Pics, movies, oh my! But, what’s this? I can’t keep anything that I’m paying for? I have to be on the site every time I want to see her? What if the server goes down? What if I don’t have an Internet connection available in my moment of need? Tough luck, folks.
The site works solely as an advertisement for Briana’s Vivid Video work and is not the shrine to all things Briana I had hoped for. So, it’s like adware with tits. You get some great looking pics—which look stunning because of the girl, not the surroundings or the guy behind the camera—which are lifted straight out of her Vivid Video products. Nothing original, nothing too surprising. The videos are also full-length, low-res, streaming editions of what you could get on DVD for the same price and watch on your big-screen TV. If you have to hide in your bedroom and watch porn in a 2” by 3” window, you’ve found your calling. If instead you want to buy the DVD, there’s usually a link right there. How handy.
Don’t get me wrong: what’s here is tasty to look at, and there’s a pretty wide assortment of caps from her various Vivid projects. However, where many sites cut right to the chase and give us the goods within a matter of seconds, having to wait through an entire feature-length porn movie for the good bits (streaming means it’s hard—if not impossible—to skip around) is bothersome. If it could be downloaded and saved, that’d make scene skipping a breeze. But not here! Videos can only be streamed, and the right mouse button is disabled whenever you’re looking at a full-size picture, meaning you can’t copy/paste and save it for later viewing. Seems kind of cheap considering you’re paying standard full price ($30) for access to the material.
The major upside is that paying for the site once gets you access to all the Vivid Girls. Pick your poison: Asia Carrera, Jenna Jameson, Briana, Tawny Roberts (a personal fave of mine), and several more. What was lacking in options is more or less compensated for by the variety of hot naked girls. Softcore, hardcore, the gang(bang)’s all here.
Vivid (and specifically Briana Banks) fans, start drooling. You’ve got every reason to check out this site. For everyone else, it can be worth your while if you’re particularly savvy at rooting through the site’s html and finding ways to snag the videos, or if you know what the Print Screen key on your keyboard is for. It’s a great site all around, but structuring it as more of a rental than a purchase gave me pause before giving a wholehearted recommendation.
