Kink.com has been producing some innovative, ethical and equitable porn on the straight side of the Web from deep inside their massive brick fortress in San Francisco’s Mission district for years now. But they have recently made their first forays into the gay market with KinkMen.com and BoundGods.com. (The formidable State Armory and Arsenal building is a perfect locale to produce the dark and atmospheric content for Kink’s new queer BDSM venture.) The artistic reigns of BoundGods.com are held by Van Darkholme, an expert in the dark arts of bondage who has performed and directed for big names like Titan Media and Can-Am Studios, and has also produced a book of erotic photographs, called Male Bondage, published by Bruno Gmünder earlier this year. Van Darkholme is an aficionado of Shibari, an intricate form of rope bondage that originated in Japan, and the precision and attention to detail inherent in this type of discipline clearly inform the aesthetic of BoundGods.com.

The lines are clean, the navigation is intuitive, and the architecture is solid with only four tabs, a search box, and a lot of stunning photography right up front. BoundGods.com opens under the “Updates” tab and currently has two pages of video content for a total of 13 sequences featuring a slew of muscle men, leather daddies, and eager bottoms. What caught my eye almost immediately was “Tober Gang Bang: Part One,” which features Tober Brandt roped to a palette loaded onto a forklift. Brandt (a Titan Man who just starred in the scorching first release from Backroom Films, called House of Leather) is nearly pure muscle with a square jaw and a permanent five o’clock shadow. A pack of studs (which includes Nick Moretti and Tyler Saint) have their collective way with his fine, fine ass as the ropes crisscrossing his heaving chest accentuate his meaty pecs. (Suffice it to say that this is a must-see for fans of this muscular fetishist.)

Video content can be streamed via RealPlayer, downloaded as WMV files for Windows Media Player, and are also available as MP4 files for both HD-quality viewing on laptops and desktops and for smaller screens on video iPods. (In addition to all of these options, all videos and photos can be downloaded as ZIP files as well.) Each sequence comes with a series of specs that lay out the technical details of each video segment. “Tober Gang Bang: Part One,” for example, offers a photo set with 173 images, four movie clips, 36 streaming video minutes, and a trailer. Portraits and vital statistics for individual men featured on BoundGods.com can be found under the “Models” tab and full-length DVDs can be purchased by way of the “Store” tab (which will redirect to JT’s Stockroom). The “Links” tab produces three: One for Kink on Demand, one for Behind Kink, and one for a partner site, CapturedGuys.com.

In the past, I’ve railed against straight companies making a grab for the queer dollar by attempting to move into the gay market, but BoundGods.com hits none of the sour notes and takes none of the missteps that I’ve written about to date. Kink.com knows fetish and produces a consistently high-quality product and they have simply applied this expertise to their new gay venture. This is a win-win situation for fans of intense and intelligent man-on-man bondage, discipline, flogging, and fucking because Kink.com got it right right out of the gate with BoundGods.com: twisted and gorgeous.
