Maybe it's a sign of the continued economic crisis, or just yet another case of Adam Smith's “invisible hand” pushing an easily produced commodity down to its lowest natural price, but we here at SexHerald seem to be getting quite a few “Bargain” sites recently. This one carries possibly the most perfectly self-descriptive title of any site we've ever reviewed: 6buckvideos.com offers – surprise! -- a whole bunch of streaming movies for... wait for it... six dollars a month.

The unpretentious bargain-basement vibe to the site is set from the very first moment, when we encounter the following gem on the signup page:

“The testimonials found here are not in their original form and were created to get users in the mood.”

Once inside, 6buckmovies.com presents you with a quick listing of the most recently updated movies and photo albums, and judging by the archives, they add from one to three movies a week. Chronological order is about the only ordering you get: the “movies” page proper organizes the clips into categories like “Babewatch” and “Dreamzotic,” in other words according to who they licensed the clips from more than anything else. And yes, a lot of them are the same “channels” you see on every streaming site everywhere (hey look! It's “Fetish Movie of the Week”...again!). The only local editorial control is in the “6Buck Original Videos” section, which are certainly not originally produced here, but seem to be locally encoded and streamed, and they have links for multiple streaming speeds, a preview snapshot, and a little capsule review... although the reviews are likely to say things like:

“Dubbed in German for a finishing touch – bound to make you horny.”

After all, what can make someone hornier faster than German dubbing? (And in fact, a lot of the “original” movies here appear to be American porn dubbed into German.)

Okay, perhaps we protest too much. 6buckmovies.com is offering, primarily, the same 50 movie player sites as every other streaming portal site, but at $6.00 a month, they're doing it for 25 cents cheaper than the previous lowest-cost portal site we've reviewed. Their “original” movies are decently encoded (in Windows Media format), play in a minimal window, and allow you to use the control bar. There are no advertising pop-ups to be found anywhere (yay!), and your $6 a month gets you access to the entire “6 Buck Network”, including sites like 6BuckMILF.com, 6BuckAsians.com, 6BuckGay.com and even 6BuckTranny.com. We'd say that you could do worse at this price, but nobody else seems to have this price, so bargain-conscious porn hounds may find nirvana here.
