A lot of adult films are pretty funny. Not many are intentionally funny. Likewise, there are a good number of movies billed as adult comedies, but few of those have a rating that exceeds “R.” That’s what makes XXX Factor (Wicked Pictures 2003) stand out; it’s an adult comedy that’s truly adult, and it’s a porno that’s intentionally funny. Not only that, but there’s some pretty hot couples sex in it too.
The whole thing is a spoof of bad porn. Porn-star/diva Paula Poundhard, played against type by the likable Stephanie Swift, has a career on the rocks. Seems her selfish attitude has limited her job offers. Paula’s only option is to co-star in a porn review show where she and past-his-prime porn legend Jack Stallion (Evan Stone) offer Siskel and Ebert style criticism of stereotypically contrived adult films. There is an added dimension of humor involved for viewers who are familiar with Wicked Pictures’ vast body of films, many of which are known for having the kind of plot XXX Factor spends so much of it’s time parodying.
Most of the performers in this movie deserve praise, since none of them seem to have any problem switching seamlessly from goofy parody to doing what they do best. The sex is good, and the players are enthusiastic, particularly Delilah Stone, who enthusiastically fingers her clit while gasping from Eric Masterson’s thrusts in their light-hearted cowboy/indian scenario. Another girl worth mentioning is Mason Storm, whose knowing smile gives a wink at the camera feel to her “innocent fan-girl” role, and whose luscious breasts bounce delightfully as Evan Stone takes her reverse cowgirl.
The folks at Wicked Pictures definitely deserve props, not just for having the balls/sense of humor required to laugh at themselves, and their past oeuvre, but for their activist efforts as well. The movie starts with a Wicked Pictures service announcement encouraging the practice of safe sex, and perhaps more importantly the DVD features include a short but powerful message endorsing the free speech coalition, including contact info for fans interested in protecting their constitutional rights.
XXX Factor is funny and sexy. The production values are excellent, and the concept is novel. We highly recommend this film for porn parties, as well as for the casual viewing. XXXFactor
