Pat Myne is one of the few directors in the biz who can celebrate a career milestone and still take the time to give something back to his most faithful of fans. X Rated serves as Myne’s 100th directorial release and it spans three discs that are armed to the teeth with great content. Rather than sticking to the standard five or six scene formula that usually serves as the meat and potatoes for any good porno, Myne takes it one step further by offering loads of extra bonus features. X Rated goes on to include an additional eight vignettes, all of which were at some point nominated by AVN for their excellence, along with a few other segments rich in interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.

Alexis Amore and Eva Angelina steal the first scene and offer sizzling performances that will make even the most jaded of viewers hurry for the Kleenex. What makes this vignette truly palpable is the fact that by themselves, Alexis and Eva share amazing chemistry and make for an utterly delightful pair. I would’ve been content with watching just the two of them go at each other, but once a male lead makes his way on camera the excitement builds tremendously. The third and last disc features interviews with numerous starlets and commentary from Pat Myne himself. Oddly enough, I really enjoyed the third disc. Myne was extremely engaging and it was hard to get bored during his words on the adult film industry and on his own movies. Very cool stuff.

As a whole, X Rated is a solid effort and it’s truly worth the purchase price. I’m almost certain that it will be the pride of your collection for releases to come. For fans of gonzo, you know what to do.
