Old-school and classic adult titles can range in years from the mid-1970s all the way up to the late 1990s (which is actually farther back than you might want to think) covering a little bit of everything along the way. Vampirass is an early 90s skin flick that seems to be about dark nights and sexy vampires (or something like that). The final product is nowhere near as exciting (or interesting) as the cover art would suggest, providing the viewer with some serious let downs. I wanted to like this movie so much, but as soon as the first scene was over I knew that my feelings would be heading in the other direction.
Although not the highest quality production, the sex in Vampirass does have its moments. Cameo, Ashley, and Gail have a wet threesome in scene three, one of the high points of the film. All the girls love the action in this scene, but Gail really takes the cake. Strap-ons come up and Cameo is riding Gail reverse cowgirl for a hot minute. Gail’s hands are all over Cameo’s great ass and the action goes up a notch when Ashley steps in to anal Cameo in a DP. Nice and smutty.
If you’re looking for the Goth action, the next scene with cover girl Madison and Tom Chapman is your choice. They’re in a dungeon, she’s decked out in all black, and they're ready for some dark love. Both parties exchange oral (with Madison straddling Tom’s face) then head into cowgirl position. From here I could say that one position is better than the other, but I honestly preferred the missionary to doggy style. In mish Madison is vocal, we have a clear shot of all of her (including that naughty face), and Tom takes control of the fast fucking as he shakes up Madison’s whole body.
Sigh. The problem with Vampirass is that everything featured is merely ‘ok’. The sex was really just, ok. The set designs were thematic at times but for the most part were just, ok. The dialogue was actually below ok. I found myself having a hard time getting into the whole production because everything seemed like the minimum, as if the producer looked at each aspect and said ‘That’ll do’. Well what’s good for you was not exciting for me.
Vampirass came out at a time when a Vampire themed porno could really knock'em dead at the trade shows and video stores. However, the production team never really came through when you expected them to. Instead of having a dark, sexy, intriguing adult film, we get a low budget, minimalist porno that will make you want to choke on your own blood. And don’t blame it on the time period; better porn was being made a decade earlier, no problem.
