There are some movies that are good despite the problems it may have. Every once in awhile, you see a film that should not work, but despite the lack of quality of its individual pieces, it manages to come together as a whole. We are sorry to say that AMA’s Throat Lube is not one of those films. There are several things that are broken in regards to this film and the good cannot help to salvage the bad here.
Before we go any further, the two of us have to say that in our opinion, themed films usually tend to be neither smashingly good nor horribly bad. The normal danger in these types of movies is that the repetition and constant focus on the given film’s themed sex act can quickly burn out all but the most fanatical viewer. These movies when taken in small doses- one or two scenes at a time,- can be quite stimulating. However, when taken in as an entire feature film, these movies can rapidly lose their appeal, unless the viewer is a die-hard fan of the genre.
With that being said, Throat Lube did not work for the two of us. First off, individual scenes lacked energy and heat. The girls seemed rather bored with all of the cocksucking, as opposed to being turned on by it. Not once did you see any of the girls do anything else with their hands (i.e. pleasure themselves) while giving head. Now, perhaps this may have been at the request of the director, but nevertheless it did not help the sexual energy level of the movie. However, what was worse was that the men were not visibly aroused or excited by the blow jobs given in the movie either except for the obviously visual evidence of the requisite erection.
The second problem with the movie is that it lacked consistency in regards to how the scenes were set up and executed. The initial scene with Faith was just a simple set up with the girl fingering her pussy in a garden when the two guys showed up and she began to suck them off. However, the next several scenes were skit based, ranging from doctor's office visits, to schoolroom fantasies. Furthermore, suddenly the camera shots switched from being panoramic for nearly the entire film to POV at the end of the film during the scene with Erin Moore. Speaking of Erin Moore and lack of consistency, Moore only sucked cock for the first half of her scene. The remainder of it highlighted a POV shot of her getting fucked. Max enjoyed looking at her round ass, but again, that took away from the focus of the film. The guy shot his load in her mouth, so we guess that it still qualified as a blow job scene. Now, seeing Moore doing something else besides the film's focus was enjoyable but that threw the idea of conceptual purity and consistency out of the window.
Next, the sound quality in Throat Lube was poor to say the least. There were points where the volume dropped to near inaudibility and then rose to annoying levels. This is another thing that can kill the mood that a film is trying to set. The final item on this list of troubles is the fact that there are no DVD extras on this release. Just our opinion, but as a rule, every theme film especially a blow job film should have a “cum recap” included in their extra footage.
We are forced to give Throat Lube only two stars due to the overwhelming problems with the title. Not even Erin Moore’s wonderful ass could save this film, not that it made any difference, because the star of the movie should have been her mouth, not her ass. We are going to recommend that you push this one to the back of your want list. You might want to wait on this one, if there are hotter titles that you are thinking about getting. ThroatLube
