An unremarkable story – girl has problems with marriage, girl partakes of five sex scenes in the fantasy world of ‘Sexcapades,’ girl returns to reunite with husband.

Characters are built around sexual stereotypes more than the plot – an insatiable she-animal (the glorious Stephanie Swift), the suave and experienced woman-pleasurer (Herschel Savage) and the whimpering slut (Chloe). The three scenes featuring these particular performers give the movie its best value for money.

Savage pleasures his blonde partner like an exquisite instrument, in a very rare showcasing of male finesse and skill – men, take notes. As a man-devouring sex machine, Swift is viciously hot – there is no drop in scathing energy as she sucks and fucks one man after another. Chloe and the star, Serenity, take on Mickey G in a little light S&M that ends the fantasy sequence. The long scene gets increasingly intense, and by the look on her face, you’d swear that Chloe was almost literally getting her brains fucked out of her.

The other scenes can more or less hold their own; the opening and the ending (the ‘real world’ sequences) are straight up one-on-ones of respectable, if unexceptional, quality. A monotonous performance by Charlie – despite the help of a fancy dildo – almost makes the one lesbian scene of the movie too boring to watch, but Serenity eventually puts enough into it to make the clip decent.

The Other Side of Serenity has energetic acting by beautiful women, balanced camera work, and well-orchestrated sex; and succeeds in delivering hot, honest and ultimately enjoyable pornography.
