Don’t expect a Keanu Reeves-type to come flying across your screen to blow dozens of Agent Smiths in Blue Blake’s latest film, The Matrixxx. Here, the “Matrixxx” refers to a muscle competition where the boys vying for the grand prize will do anything to win. And if Blue Blake’s last film, Bouncer, is any indication, we’ll be treated to some spectacular displays of muscle.

Jim Slade is truly beyond merely spectacular. His character runs, pumps iron, chugs protein shakes and swallows supplements hoping to reach the top of his game. He’s even willing to seduce one of his “fag” competitors, Tony Cage, in the hopes that offering up his hole will somehow distract Cage and knock him out of the competition. He lets us in on his plans by addressing the audience directly throughout the film.

Slade stages his big seduction in the local gym. He starts out blowing buff and shaved Cage. Blake gives us some interesting camera angles such as filming the action from above looking down on the pair. Slade’s “straight” character goes the distance, spreading Cage’s large asscheeks and diving in. These guys work up a sweat during their gym routine, Cage returning most of Slade’s sexual favors before topping him on an incline bench. Both have perfectly formed bodies, tan and pumped; when Cage blows his wad, Slade gets right down and eats it up. Blake gives us an incredible opening scene which is difficult to get through in one sitting.

Slade’s plan to knock Cage out of the competition failed. Slade shares with the viewer the inside scoop on Jay Poison’s character and what follows is a long drawn out muscle worship scene. Poison might remind some viewers of Jon Vincent but without the obvious communion with the camera. Poison flexes perfunctorily in his posing strap and there is no denying his incredible physique. He fingers his ass, pumps his cock, greases his hole up, then fucks himself with a variety of small dildos. He finally blows a very creamy white load, accented by his incredibly tan skin. This scene is the weakest in the film.

Slade is also concerned about the competition coming his way from Trey Rexx who “lives for two things: cash and cock.” Slade sends in Tony Valentino with both the cash and cock, hoping to knock Rexx out of the competitive loop.

After admiring his well-developed thighs in the gym mirror, then refusing Valentino’s cash offer, Rexx gets on his knees for Valentino who offers many verbal incentives.

Stefan Milos soon joins the party, but only as a voyeur, spying on the pair as they compare muscle. This is Blake’s clever way to incorporate another gay-for-pay model into a sexual situation. Watch carefully for a segment where Rexx and Valentino bounce their cocks together, hands-free. Throughout, Milos remains content to watch and not participate, bending over to make his shaved hole wink at the camera. Blake treats us to another moment that we don’t often get in porn these days – a beautiful shot of Rexx beginning to sit on Valentino’s prick, slowing working it in his hole for the first time.

As Valentino tops an eager Rexx, Milos mimics the action, fingering his pucker hole. Blake captures another spectacular cumshot on tape when Valentino jerks off on Rexx’s chest and Rexx blows his own load almost simultaneously. Milos gets off also, but as the entire scene progressed, I had the sneaking suspicion that Milos’ scene was filmed quite separately from the other.

Slade tries again to eliminate Tony Cage, a recovering alcoholic, from “The Matrixxx” by having Jeremy Jordan deliver a case of Corona. Nothing new on the ‘delivery boy’ scenario here; after enjoying a few Coronas, lucky Jordan blows Cage, who resembles every hot frat boy I fantasized about in college. The pairing is a nice switch – thin-framed Jordan and beefy Cage. Jordan enjoys some hot ass, then gets fucked beautifully. Cage makes his delivery boy stand on one leg for deep penetration.

Blake decides to finish the film with a threeway. It’s not your typical threeway; Slade secures his win in the muscle competition by putting out for the contest judge, Dan Packin, and his buddy, Flex Deon Blake, both magnificently built black men. The two use Slade in every way possible, but do note several spectacular highlights: Slade rims both men as they lay side by side on a desktop, gets rudely fucked by both at the same time, then eats their cum.

If Blake eliminated the dry flex and pose scene from Poison and inserted more action, the film would garner a perfect rating. Every cumshot from almost every model made me ache with horniness. The scenes are well-lit, the camera well positioned and the models committed to the plot line. The DVD version of The Matrixxx offers us a very short outtakes reel and only one preview and a photo gallery. The value is in the actual film, so I really didn’t feel let down by the lack of extras.

Blake is on the right path and his films are continually improving. Who needs Keanu Reeves when you can see Jim Slade slurping down several loads of spunk?
