Teanna Kai’s Club House Directed by Rick Davis

I do not say this lightly, but I think Teanna Kai’s Club House might be my favorite movie of the year because it breaks all of the barriers of what we are supposed to expect from erotic cinema - and looks so good doing it.

As a low budget movie maker in my spare time, one of the things important to me in the adult movies I enjoy is that the production be better, (or on the same level,) as the kind of thing I could produce on digital video. I’m not saying it has to be excellent, but it does have to show that the filmmakers gave it a good shot. I love a movie that is super-low budget but makes the best of what they have to work with. (The best example of erotic genius is my favorite erotic soft core movie, “I.K.U.” by director Shu Lea Cheang, a “sci-fi, anime-porno” that is so stylish and artistic it stands alone in its own genre and is more erotic than most hardcore films.) Teanna Kai’s Club House accidentally does the same thing and is in fact the most exciting adult film I have seen this year!

Rick Davis offers a really excellent, minimalist erotic adventure that is stylish, beautiful and so arousing that I will say right now that it is the movie I will re-watch the most this year.

After viewing this movie I am convinced a lot of love went into it and I would hate like hell to think that it goes unnoticed by erotic film lovers whose tastes lean towards lesbian themed erotica. (Fans of beautiful women, particularly Asian women can also find comfort in knowing that Teanna Kai is a stunning beauty.)

The premise finds Teanna Kai moving through one sexy scenario after another, (usually in a small room with a stage decorated with chains and restraints where a beautiful woman comes out and strips before Teanna before they make love.) This is not porn, it is art, plain and simple.

Now, while watching the movie, and realizing how much I was enjoying it, I decided to do a little research on other films by Rick Davis and I found a ton of really interesting titles from Baby Doll Pictures. The covers all sporting similar, (and eye pleasing,) graphic design work, made me want to see all of his movies as soon as possible. (Interestingly enough I found another review of the film I was reviewing that found it to be “run of the mill,” which could not be further from the experience I was having with Teanna Kai’s Club House. Yes, the movie is simple and light on story of any substance, but it is also like an ethereal state of bliss that washes over you like a drug. Many adult films make you want to turn them off after you have gotten what you need from them, but Teanna Kai’s Club House engages you and stays with you. Yes, the story is all set-up and obviously unnecessary, (one could easily put on a Depeche Mode or Cure album and turn the movie off, changing the experience altogether.

The fact is, sexy movie lovers, Teanna Kai is gorgeous beyond belief and winds up in many strap-on situations that will make you wonder why they even need men in adult movies. They are certainly not missed here by this reviewer and the display of beautiful women in minimal settings, engaged in the hottest girl on girl action you could hope for is reason alone to pick up this DVD. There is ample subtle eroticism for those who don’t want things to get too hardcore, (yes, it is very couples friendly,) and there is plenty of penetration by way of fingers, tongues, strap-ons and dildos and vibrators.

All I can say of the sound and video quality is that someone paid attention in film school. Where this DVD is not brimming over with extras, (and I would have loved a commentary track or “making of” feature,) it does at least index the few it has very nicely. (When I went to the section titled “Enlarge Your Penis,” there was a slick and hilarious advertisement/commercial for a penis augmentation surgery through a company called Total Life Enhancement.) If you buy this DVD or rent it, you must watch this segment.

Teanna Kai’s Club House may not be the best erotic film ever made or the most expensively made, but it is brimming over with style and sex, and is one of the best films you will experience all year. As for me, I will be seeking out much more from Rick Davis and Baby Doll Pictures to let you readers know whether or not this movie is a fluke or if he is just the unknown successor to Andrew Blake and Michael Ninn.
