Amateurs abound in modern pornography and there is no shortage of “Spring Break”-type movies where young and drunken women flash the cameras, having a smashing good time on leave from school. Dream Girls does not deviate too far from this formula with Spring Break Behind the Scenes. The major selling point of this film is the fact that it has elements of hardcore. There is no boy/girl sex to speak of and the girl/girl stuff that transpires “behind the scenes” is a bit tame for the viewer schooled in the ways of porn, but you do get to see a lot more than just breasts, and some of the solo masturbation scenes are quite entertaining. Some of the girls seem like seasoned pros, knowing what to do and what to say in a way that does not come from any clumsy direction: they feel it.
One particular solo masturbation scene takes place outside in a beach chair, and while the girl is going to town she is having an honest-to-god conversation with the guy filming her doing so (Mr. Anonymous). It is a strangely erotic scene for reasons that probably have more to do with me than any overt sexiness. There are a bevy of beautiful girls in this movie, and it is a shame that things remain on the soft side, but the movie comes off without a hitch for fans of this genre.
Most films in this vein stay on the upper half of the body, considering the fact that unpaid girls do not take too kindly to showing their nether regions. Spring Break Behind the Scenes knows no such boundary. With almost every girl in this movie, there is at least the hint of a potential masturbation scene. There are of course very innocent drive-by flashes where girls in the back of trucks just bounce around topless, but mainly we have women in back rooms and lofts shedding their panties and obliging the very polite filmmaker and his crew with more than a few shots we can all take to the bank.
From taking a look at the cover photo on this DVD and from reading this review you can probably gauge one way or the other if this is the kind of film for you; and fear not, there are plenty of extremely attractive natural girls in this film, ready and willing to help you out on a rainy day.
