The film on deck for this review is Adam & Eve’s Spreading My Seed. This is a collection of eight small scenes, all featuring two gals and one guy getting busy in various settings. The first thing that we noticed about the film is that the sex is pretty mild in most of the scenes. That gave us the impression that it was made more for couples; especially for women who are not exactly turned on by hardcore porn. While the movie is not soft-core in any way, there are several elements that cater more to the feminine viewer.
First off, all of the men are very well-built, but the camera views do not focus on their faces. The purpose of this is to cater to a concept of feminine fantasy; faces are not important and make the fantasy too personalized. Unless the fantasy is specifically about a given man, then the focus is more on what he represents, than his identity. This is evidenced by the focus of the various scenes and the roles that the men play; a butcher in a shop, a cowboy at a ranch, a sports doctor in a locker room, a master in a bondage den, a vacationing husband on a balcony of a hotel room, and a patient in a doctor’s office. The male fantasy angle is also catered to in Spreading My Seed as shown by the fact that there are two women to each man, and the roles that the women play, including a nurse, a foreign girl off of the street, and a bondage slave. The music for each of the scenes has a certain “new age” flavor to it, adding a “dreamlike” quality to the various scenes.
However, despite the production values in this movie, it loses steam as it is viewed. The positions and setups for the various scenes are very repetitive and blatantly contrived. In fact, you can literally scan through the first five to seven minutes of each scene, as nearly all of them start off exactly the same. In addition, in an attempt to take the hard edge off of the scenes, they also dampened any heat that might have been generated in them. There are only a couple of scenes that have any real heat and passion in them. The rest are a bit too casual and relaxed, and you eventually find yourself skipping through the scenes, searching for that one hot moment.
In closing, we would say that this is one to get if you are trying to introduce a somewhat “delicate” partner into adult films, as this is tame enough, not to shock somebody all at once. However, as standard adult fare, while we found the imagery and a couple of the scenes entertaining, for the most part this one just left us wanting. SpreadingMySeed
