You’d think with a name like Sorority Strip-Off, this might be interesting to watch, but it wasn’t. It was unimaginative, uninteresting and unnecessary.
Essentially, the entire DVD is a series of strip contests that take place in a cheesy local nightclub. Apparently someone had the presence of mind to grab a video camera, tape the action and make the contestants sign waiver forms, then try to sell it to the average purveyor as pornography. This feature was nothing more than what you’d see on Spring Break in Daytona Beach, without the chance of actually getting laid.
The production values were very low, the lighting seemed a bit off, and the sound was of poor quality. And the background music was aggravating. Very aggravating.
Although some of the women featured in the production were attractive, most of them were not that pleasant to view. More importantly, because this was filmed in a bar, there was good reason to believe that most of the girls had been drinking.
In all honesty, I’m sure of the appeal of this production, particularly to people who have a stripping fetish. Although the production displayed naked women, they weren’t doing anything that seemed very interesting--they did, however, manage to do some pretty skanky things--nor did it seem that they fulfilled the desires of anyone with a stripping fetish. Furthermore, in this day and age of pornography, I am unsure why anyone would purchase this production, because it simply does not offer anything unique.
Although most of the women seemed willing to degrade themselves so that a few slobbering drunks could whoop and holler, it seemed the women’s behavior was anti-climatic. Why bother degrading yourself when the payoff is so minimal. If you’re going to do something like this, why not pursue an endeavor that, at least, maintains your integrity to some degree?
In the end, I found myself more aggravated that I had to watch this, rather than titillated that I had actually watched it. SorirtyStrip-off11 SororityStrip-off11
