When you go about selecting a porn movie, would you gravitate towards the one about marriage? Not sure. How about one about marriage and the groom’s debaucherous bachelor party? Getting warmer. What about a porn movie about marriage, the bachelor party, and matrimony-crumbling infidelity. Now maybe we have something.

Second Thoughts was written and directed by porn queen Stormy Daniels, who’s stories tend to employ typical romantic comedy tropes, which are interspersed with plot-driven sex scenes of typical Wicked quality in a way that approaches clever. This formula creates consistently watchable winners and Second Thoughts is no different.

Austin Kincaid stars as Jennifer, who on the eve of her wedding begins to have – wait for it – “second thoughts” about her marriage. Evan Stone is her soap opera star fiancé, Zach, who may or may not be the great catch she believes him to be. The movie’s first sex scene shows they have a healthy, if slightly tame sex life. I’m all for dramatic realism but do two porn stars acting like a soon-to-be-married couple have to play it so safe? If you go to the trouble of staging a sex scene, crank up the naughty please. Perhaps that’s why Jennifer is thinking her fiancé might not be the one.

Michelle Lay, the bride’s uptight sister can’t stop the shenanigans of the ensuing bachelor party so she tries to make sure her pussy-whipped husband, played by Randy Spears, keeps an eye on the proceedings so that the party doesn’t become unwholesome. With a wife who can deep throat like that he may be whipped for a good reason. He even cums on her ass, not her face, just like a real married couple might. Her wily bedroom behavior doesn’t do enough to keep him in line though as Spears’ character is the wildest and most depraved of anyone at the party.

Spears and the groom’s buddies, full of bad influence, want to take him out for a night of splendid hedonism before his wedding day. Thankfully strippers arrive to breathe some life into the party, and the movie. Second Thoughts really picks up when the strippers, played by Lexi Lamour and Tory Lane break out their collection of toys, starting with the strap on. Next, Lexi reaches into her bag of tricks and pulls out an asshole spreading contraption the likes of which I’ve never seen and puts it to use.

After insertion and a few cranks of a nob, the device has opened up Tory’s asshole enough so that you can see right down the shaft like a well. Instead of tossing in a coin and making a wish she jams in a dildo. Showing great resilience, Tory Lane then slobbers all over four dicks before absorbing a load from each. After such a virtuoso effort, her ingestion of the last mouthful of cum is practically just showing off.

Meanwhile, bride-to-be Jennifer’s quest to discover whether Zach is the one, or if her heart rests with a wayward ex-boyfriend, generates more reasons for scripted sex and it all works well enough to satisfy viewer interest. In all we get the expected high quality sex throughout with just enough moments of walloping kink to keep things from feeling too routine. As a result, Second Thoughts is quality – even memorable in parts – but just shy of outstanding.
