At first glance, one might think that the new Rob Rotten production Scurvy Girls 2 is filled with women who are, well…scurvy. Then again, this is a Rob Rotten film and a scurvy girl is exactly what makes Rotten’s films (especially the Scurvy Girl series) what they are; unique, hot alt-porn. Just to lay all fears to rest, the girls don’t have scurvy and they don’t really act scurvy; they just take their clothes off and have really good sex while Indy punk rock plays in the background.    

Although Rotten is a punk and has fashioned his production company around the punk-rock style, he decided to play around with the sound for scene two by opening the shot with a Latin salsa style track, which not only pleasantly surprises the viewer but also helps to introduce Persia. Even though she’s not a Latina, Persia has the dark hair and skin that is so common among Latin women (and a huge turn-on for many people). Persia’s doing her thing in an urban landscape when she makes the first move on Jay Ashley. Oral pleasures are the opening action and only a small taste of what’s to come. Jay is a serious fucker who makes sure that everyone from his co-star to the audience receives plenty of action. A perfect example of this passionate fucking is when Persia is riding reverse cowgirl while Jay is holding onto her clothes. These two fuck so hard it makes the whole room shake.    

Rotten actually surprised me again by combining a few different elements into the final scene of the film. The music is not punk, but rather a moody rock piece that really fits well into the visual style of the scene. The music sets the stage as Roxy DeVille appears as a dark goddess with black petals raining down on her. There is a very subtle beauty about this scene that translates into quality erotica that still packs a mighty punch of hardcore flavor. As the scene is coming to a close, Rotten brings the camera directly in front of Roxy’s ass as Long thrusts himself into her heart shaped booty. The artistically dark imagery and hardcore action create a sexual balance that will please solo views as well as couple’s time.    

Rob Rotten has a quite an eye for adult films. Scurvy Girls 2 boasts quality editing, interesting set designs, and even a little story work for each scene. One thing that really killed the pleasure of the film was Rotten’s music choices for some scenes. You hear the same two punk songs through the entire film and they are horribly annoying songs. I’m being very honest when I say that my sexual concentration was broken by cliché punk lyrics being amped over the action. Aside from the soundtrack, Scurvy Girls 2 is a porno that will excite and surprise; beautiful women, artistic imagery, and wild sex all in a punk rock package.
