In the vein of the dozens of reality shows that air on television, Wicked Pictures presents the Road Trixx series. We sat down to watch this film, set at California's Joshua Tree National Park, with no expectations or pre-conceived notions.

First off, we both agreed that the sex was pretty good. Next, neither of us had any problem watching the opposite sex, as the cast members were pretty attractive. Jade commented on Devinn Lane’s body, saying that "if she was four inches or so taller, she’d be stacked.” Just goes to show that you do not have to have a perfect body to be a porn star. You just have to be willing to use it well.

The first scene is a bathroom threesome with Aria, Lane, and Lee Stone. That started it off pretty good for us as we discovered that Aria squirts when she comes. Yay! Considering the remaining scenes, they could have called this film "fucking with nature," "getting wild in the wild." or something like that.

The next scene is a montage rotating between the paired actors (Aria and Stone, Lane and Guns, and Bratt and Spade) in different locations of the park. Max had somewhat of a problem watching them fuck on the volcanic rocks because he suffered a cut from some a few years ago. There wasn’t a lot of heat going on and the constant switching between couples sort of kept you from getting into the sex.

The next scene with Aria and Lee Stone, who happened to be newlyweds at the time of filming, raised the temperature quite a bit and showed creative ways to screw in a pickup truck. The final segment starts off with Becca Bratt frigging her snatch on a rock and eventually evolves into a paired-foursome, with Lane, Guns, and Spade coming into the picture. Again, the pacing with switching between the couples took away from the heat that the individual scenes could have generated. Finally, they include a bonus scene from Road Trixx 1 with Ashley Long, Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo.

The film had decent camera work and audio. The scenery of Joshua Tree National Park was beautiful and unfortunately, it distracted you from the sex at times. Another major turn-off was that there were too many interludes with the cast acting goofy. I guess that there is one thing that we both agree about on adult films: it is all about the sex. Almost anything else is a waste of time.

If the film actually has a story to tell, then that’s different. But this is a gonzo film. Then there was Lane and her constant monologues. It would be one thing if these were insights into her personality or even her motivation while directing the film. We are not that lucky and she is not that funny. In our opinion, the dialogue added nothing to the film and simply made you want to hit fast forward. On the other hand, there were plenty of photo shoots with the girls and the guys showing off their bodies among the scenery. Those were enjoyable and added to the atmosphere of the film. There are more gallery shots in the bonus material section of the DVD.

Taking all of this into consideration, we have to give Road Trixx 2 three stars. The sex is okay, but not earth-shattering. With the other distractions in mind, while this is not a bad movie, there was plenty of room for improvement. If there is a Road Trixx 3 all that we can hope for is that there will be more ‘trixx’ and less ‘road.’
