There is a neat innovation in porn DVDs called POV, or point of view. This involves someone--usually the director--holding a camera and filming all the sex action from his point of view. This is a nice alternative to the usual guy(s)/girl(s) action. The two types of POVs that I have come across are vignettes and straights. A vignette involves the camera guy filming all the action within the contents of a story, sort of like a day in the life of thing. A straight POV is just the cameraman looking at a woman who is in a sex scene and the two engage in some fucking without provocation. Manuel Ferrara’s POV is a sort of mixture of the two as many of the scenes involves a scene set up. There are six scenes in this DVD with some fine performers in each.
The first has Michele B hanging out at Manuel’s home waiting for some dick. The first scene is a classic example of why I love these movies. Usually, when I’m watching a porn and the action is getting good, it’s always some shmoe’s idea to cut to the guy’s face spoiling the entire moment. What guy wants to look at another guy having sex while he’s at home alone strokin’ himself? Well, thanks to POVs that is not a problem as the action is the next best thing to being there. Anyone that is even a casual fan of porn should check out one of these POV movies as they offer a different aspect to porn that is unique. It’s nothing groundbreaking but still a novel idea that I recommend.
