Wicked Productions has rightfully earned a reputation for churning out the most innovative and high quality adult films in the past few years. With their recent release Polarity, Wicked shows that their reputation is still intact. In fact, Polarity is one of Wicked’s best films to come out recently. This is thanks in no small part to the newest addition to the Wicked family, AVN award-winning director David Stanley.
Stanley is a fine addition to the Wicked stable. He has that mainstream-style of filmmaking that Wicked strives for in their films. While his style can be mainstream, Stanley is also experimental and artistic. He uses black and white and different camera tricks to convey different atmospheres in various scenes. In addition, Stanley knows how to shoot a sex scene extremely well. You get the impression there is more going on in the sex scenes than just two people fucking. Stanley knows how to get emotions out his performers. There’s more than just lust in the eyes of these characters. You see desperation, anger, and love in the eyes as well.
Polarity tells the story of a lonely young woman played by the lovely Nicole Sheridan. She is married to an asshole cop who walks out on her by leaving a note saying, “I can’t carry you anymore.” To make matters even worse, her home was broken into. Now no longer feeling safe at home, she spends her time floating from one strange place to another and washing in restrooms. In one restroom she runs into an old friend from Minnesota who has become a fetish film performer. At first Rachel is frightened when her friend takes her to a wild sex session (one horny girl tries to hump Rachel and is pulled off as she barks). Rachel then slowly opens up sexually where she goes from lover to lover in order to find someone to comfort her.
The star, Nicole Sheridan really blew me away and I’m not talking about her blowjob skills. She knows how to act a lot more than the vast majority of female stars in the industry. Her portrayal of a depressed and lonely woman is so great that it creates so much sympathy for her character. You wish you could jump into your TV screen and hug her. Of course Sheridan does more than just act in this film. She fucks so well that you’re also going to want to jump inside your TV screen to fuck her yourself. Sheridan has her asshole licked and it’s the best ass-licking scene I’ve seen in any film.
The other females in Polarity also do a great job. Eva Angelina is looking hotter than ever. Justin Jolie, Alexis Malone and Kimberly Kane hold their own in some wild sex acts. They fill up the film with some excellent orgy, light S/M, and lesbian scenes. Chris Cannon has basically a cameo appearance and makes up for what little time he has in the film with some typically top-notch fucking. The always-reliable Randy Spears does a fine job as one of Sheridan’s befuddled lovers. Any film with Randy Spears is worth watching.
Wicked is not skimpy on the bonus features. You get to be treated to a bonus sex scene featuring Nicole Sheridan. It’s actually the most passionate scene she has in the DVD and it’s a wonder why it wasn’t included the film itself. There are two separate photo galleries featuring the sexy stars of the film. An interview with David Stanley is included which reveals his creative process and how he came to Wicked. Other bonuses included trailers for the film, DVD-ROM features, and web site access. If Polarity is a sign of things to come from the David Stanley and the Wicked Productions team then there is much to look to forward to.
