Here’s a prime example of a good idea gone bad. The concept of this DVD is to bring the viewer into the action by allowing them to choose the action and also the angle. Do you want to see the girl playing with a toy, maybe getting slammed in the ass, perhaps just stripping? Do you want to see her giving head from above, below, right side, left side? Get the idea?

Let’s talk audio. Unfortunately there is audio. Thank Zeus for the mute button. I realize most porn films aren’t going to win any awards for dialogue but this film is just downright awful. It is painfully obvious just from looking at Venus that she is horribly bored. If you really want to see smarminess in action just watch the DVD extra and listen to the pathetic come-ons by the cameraman. There are numerous times that you can actually see the microphone trying to capture the sex sounds. I think they know how awful the dialogue is so they are trying to drown it out by the squishy noises.

Let’s talk video. Okay, A+ for effort and innovation. The whole idea with this DVD is to give the viewer the choice of angle. Therefore, every scene type (anal, “vag”, foreplay, etc.) is shot from multiple angles. This could be why Venus seems so disinterested. She’s probably sick of shooting. But the flick definitely covers the spectrum of points of view. Unfortunately, the cameraman (who I mentioned earlier) seems more concerned with hooking up with Venus than with perfecting his craft. It seems on many occasions that he might slam the camera into the actors.

Let’s talk action. This film has it all. Foreplay, stripping, toys, “vag”, anal, blowjobs and then some. This is where this film really falls short. As I’ve said, Venus seems so bored (actually she seems like she just sucked from the crack pipe) that pretty much every scene seems strained. Jeez Louise, she even smokes a cigarette for one scene. How’s that for a self-esteem booster!

Let’s talk DVD extras. Not much exciting here. There’s a “Get to know Venus” and this is where I developed my “she’s smoking crack” idea. I’m beginning to wonder why the film companies include these in their DVDs. Every one I’ve watched shows how mechanical the sex is in these and sometimes even how repulsive the actors are. Kind of destroys the illusion of sex-starved people ripping away at each other because of their ravenous appetites for sex.

So that’s it. A great concept poorly executed by bored actors and smarmy cameramen. The only reason it got the stars that it did is because it delivers what it says it will, an interactive DVD that allows the viewer to decide the action and angle.
