During the time I recognize as my formative years, The Story of O was one of the first erotically charged graphic novels I ever managed to get my hands on. At the time, lacking any of my currently well - formed predilections, it was a true challenge to attempt to get me head around. Fast forward to recent history when the first film version of the story is produced. Some ten years later, Adam & Eve decide they couldn't leave well enough alone, and pick up where former producers had left off, opting for the full HD effect that ended up being so popular it is now in a second release. Being a long time lover of all things fetish, I was quick to order this recent raunchy rompl with the fervent hope of chasing the tail of that dragon which was my intiial addiction to the darker side of sex.

From a bird's eye view, the film has all the trappings of the original, though I can honestly say that there were some crucial points where some details simply excelled. Take for example, the triumphant return of the iconic Ms. Shayla Leveaux. As one of the vaunted playthings at the efamed estate Roissy, she barters her precious self to one of the estate's myriad attendants in exchange for his collusion about one of her prohibited smoke breaks. There is a great deal of camera angling and massage happening as Shayla buckles her collar, wrist, and ankle cuffs on in a marble lined bathroom larger than my apartment. As soon as she's properly attired, the two move to a luxuriously appointed bedroom and a bed covered in laytex sheets. The entire scene is a fantastic lead up to the amazing finish with a protracted anal penetration that sees her shaking her way through an amazing, minutes long, ab - crunching ass-gasm rivaling the intensity of longtime favorite Dana DeArmond.

But you came here searching for destinctive descriptions of the leading lady - the inimitable Ms. Carmen Luvana. The opening moresome between Carmen, Tommy Gun, Dragon Lilly, et alia, is somehow lackluster, and though she carried one of the most awarded big budget films of last year, her delivery hear seems a bit stilted. That is, until she gets in front of the Fabio-esque Evan Stone. When I interviewed her at the NYC Erotic Exotic show, she told me her performance during the scene with Stone was mostly acting because, and I quote: 'he's very big'. During her anal penetration scene, she shows us clearly she's barely hanging on.

Plot twists abound, and if memory serves, they followed the novel almost to the letter, a boast that those other movie producers up the road are frequently incapable of matching. In the end, even though 'O' starts out as a posession of Tommy Gun's character, his half brother, played by Stone, slowly cuts any and all ties that he might have once had to her, finally claiming her as his own. By that time, however, you will have been so overwhelmed by the visuals and the amount of kinkiness that is the totality of this picture, that you won't even be able to figure out which emotion you're supposed to be feeling.

Normal HD high budget rules apply - all characters are the equivalent of your high end lingerie models brought to life, any piece of clothing, set, lighting, or vehicle used to convey meaning for the story line is of the highest quality, and this may be one of the bigger things to hit your home theater since Joon's 'Pirates'.
