Way back at the beginning of my tenure as reviewer, I extolled the virtues of Vivid Video to potentially create a niche for porn as a viable career option. Where the Dreamworks Studios of the porn industry creates visions of godliness with its performers, No Man’s Land, Latin Edition has managed to effectively present scathing social commentary embedded in a string of girl-on-girl scenes set to classical Mexican guitar. Using a rough story line where Marlena is a lesbian supermodel trying to constantly hide her marriage-like relationship with the sultry Jenaveve Jolie, in every single scene, one or the other girl asks ‘Why is it you can’t speak Spanish?’ to her colleague.
To kick things off, Marlena and Jeaveve mix it up in the bedroom after our supermodel star receives a phone call from her agent saying that the papers are starting a smear campaign about her purported affair. My enjoyment of this scene was stunted, however, because of a DVD error, and I had to skip to the next scene. None worse for the wear, however, because, as luck would have it, Sativa Rose plays paralegal for jailhouse lawyer Mika Brown, one counselor whose briefs have become more than public knowledge. After reminiscing about their meeting in the joint, Mika subpoenas here Sativa’s (hereinafter, Consuela) services, and in due process is rewarded with her desired result. Mika then turns the tables and it is Sativa who is at the mercy of the court as she receives her boss’ strap-on hammer of justice, wielded as if it was made solely for her hand, as she lays, supine, across her desk.
Consuela’s roommate in the big house after her lover was paroled is named Liz, and owes the conspiring Consuela a favor. She is sent to plead the case in front of computer hacker extraordinaire Avy Lee Roth – the latest Spanish import, rivaling saffron as the world’s most expensive spice. Be sure to check out the new tattoo work – for whose services she intends to pay, as we say in Spanish ‘con carne.' At first, the errant computer expert is resistant, spewing obscenities and tirades about Consuela being so presumptuous as to send her an assignment she wasn’t planning on paying for, but, in the end, Liz convinces her that to expect any other form of payment would be simply unthinkable.
In the end, Marlena and Dillan Lauren (the gossip columnist who’s been spreading all the rumors) have it out at Dillan’s apartments, testing the stability of the couch and finishing the scene off with one of the more scorching anal scenes I’ve seen in a lesbian flick. It’ll make you want to start your own glass dildo collection. As always, paradise is only a click away. NoMan'sLand,LatinEdition5
