Most people probably fast forward through the talking parts in a porn but I usually like to listen to what the performers have to say, be it a gonzo or feature video. In Nina Hartley’s Guide To Erotic Bondage, the two main starlets, lustful Latina Carmen Luvana, and the legendary Nina Hartley, begin this instructional video discussing the finer points of bondage done the correct way. They clearly explain and go over the finer points of bondage for the lay person, most importantly, that you must share this practice with someone you trust.
Other points they touch upon are that injuries during a typical bondage session, while possible, are overstated in the media, and that it’s important to be able to unrestrain the bondaged individual in case of a panic attack, a natural disaster, or if an unexpected guest arrives. Also, if you’re new to the world of bondage, it is never supposed to be uncomfortable for the restrained partner, and it is very important that the restraints used are secure enough to hold the restrained individual in place. Seems informative, yet not enough for me, personally, to enter this world, but I would recommend this DVD for the couple who would like to explore or add a bit of spice to their sex life.
Once the discussion of bondage concludes, Nina proceeds to show the proper methods of various bondage techniques by using Randy Spears as her guinea pig. Randy is all for being tied up, and what’s interesting to note is that the performers go at it as would a couple trying out the techniques Nina and Carmen just explained. Nina and Randy pay very little attention to the camera, instead just going at it, winging it, doing what comes naturally. Occasionally, Nina will speak to the audience to explain what she’s about to do, but she seems to be more interested in getting it on with Randy. This is not a criticism as I believe the real point of the DVD was to be used more as a visual aid, and the techniques and methods used seem simple to understand that very little explanation is really needed. Anyway, it’s always great to see Nina getting slammed and she even shows us the proper way to lube a woman’s ass, prepare and enjoy the wonderful act of anal sex.
Carmen Luvana and Tommy Gunn are the next and last couple to demonstrate proper bondage techniques and what I really dug was Tommy undressing Carmen, exposing her completely nude, butter pecan body. Aside from Carmen being handcuffed down for Tommy to orally service her, or doing her missionary style near the end, and Carmen wearing chains on her wrists while she’s riding Tommy cowgirl style, there really are no other examples of bondage taking place.
I suppose I was expecting the performers to be expertly tied up, tied down, from a ceiling or wall, but then I realized this DVD was made for the average couple who really want to try it for fun, not for those who have a real fetish for complex restraints and wish to take it further. Definitely not meant to be a stroker flick, although watching Carmen getting nailed and hearing her moan and groan in Spanish was a real turn on. I do suggest this flick for the couple who are sexually adventurous and more than willing to give a bit more sensuality combined with restraints to their lovemaking. NinaHartley'sGuidetoEroticBondage
