Although Metro Studio’s latest release offers all the standard DVD goodies – photo stills, a very hot “Behind-the-Scenes” featurette with Holly Hollywood masturbating, a pop shot feature and other surprises – it’s an oddly indecisive film. It often teeters on that tenuous line between exciting, unknown territory, and monotonous, tedious repetition. “Myne Tease,” isn’t a particularly great or inspiring film. It does its purpose for the most part, but simultaneously, it isn’t the worse film ever. I think the film manages to do its job fairly effectively the majority of the time with some obvious flaws.

The first chapter introduces us to the exceedingly gorgeous Holly Hollywood wearing next to nothing and a pair of boots. The image alone is enticing enough to warrant all of your attention – until you start to hear the interchange between her and an ubiquitous off-screen voice. Indeed, what is so annoying about their conversation is that it sounds way too cutesy. And yet, there seems to be a dangerous precedent inherently built into the film: are we supposed to watch as impartial observers and perverted voyeurs or are we supposed to take a more active role? A very important narrative frame, a frame inherently designed to suspend the viewer’s disbelief, is immediately shattered without much understanding as to what it truly means.

Each and every chapter of the film is formulated as if the director and the cast failed to be imaginative. Without the variation of double penetration, you could effectively rearrange the movie in any random order and still have the essence of the movie, all while maintaining some aspect of the typical porn formula.

To add to the sense of repetition, all the chapters start off practically the same way: we get introduced to a girl, the annoying off screen voice coos and then sex finally occurs. For the most part, the sex is damn near decadent and naughty but some of the sex scenes feel like they go on way too long and seem to be way too dependent on dissolve cuts to create a sense of pacing (all while destroying any sense of context).

But for your enjoyment, I’d say fast forward past all the dull exposition to the porn and you’ll have a fairly enjoyable time.
