I remember the days of stealing my Dad’s porno movies, watching the hell out of them, and then rewinding them back to the same spot where he left off. Technology has come along way since my days as a horny little bastard. Today, curious kids must be having a ball with their fathers’ DVDs with deleted scenes, chapter selections, close-ups and behind the scenes footage. The new world of DVD porn is slowly making the traditional VHS sex movie obsolete.
The latest addition to porn is the “Virtual Sex Simulator” DVD. This format gives the audience a chance to pick and choose the intimate act they want to “participate in.” Through the use of POV camera work, it tries to engage the viewer in a way that is as close to the real thing as it gets. “My Virtual Misty,” starring adult film legend Misty Rain, takes a stab at the “virtual” format by attempting to immerse the viewer in the actual scene. The opening menu is very easy to navigate. One can choose from a foreplay section, sex section, or both. Set up like a letterboxed film, there are two thin black bars on the top and bottom of the actions frame. In the black areas are many options that the viewer can choose from. The foreplay section has a tease, strip, dildo, and titty fucking option, among others. The sex section begins with a blowjob scene and has all different type of positions and action to choose from like missionary, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, doggie and of course, the cumshot.
Each scene looks as if it takes place in some kind of sterile white mental ward. Though unintentional, I’m sure this could be a turn on for some. Misty Rain has a nice face, beautiful pierced titties and a great ass. But I couldn’t help but get annoyed by her constant on screen gabbing. “Ooh yeah, I love your dick,” and “That feels so fucking good,” gets downright annoying after a while. Each scene would be so much better if she would only remained quiet for a second or so. All of the foreplay and sex are shot, so the males face is not shown. This way she’s really sucking your dick right and you’re fucking her from behind, right? Well, I don’t have fore arm tattoos and a humongous shlong, but hey, what can you do? Each scene is lit well, and the camera work is exceptional.
The DVD extras section has a nice photo gallery, a bonus sex scene, bloopers, and trailers for other Anarchy Films. The bonus scene is with a girl that kind of looks like Misty. I’m not sure if it’s really her, or just a weird ringer. The scene is nothing spectacular, but it’s a breath of fresh of air considering that there is no dialogue. The trailers are great addition to the disc. They are all a good length and feature enough fuck action to get you off before you go out and purchase one of the titles.
The virtual sex format is a great idea. I think that it could be the next alternative to the traditional on screen sex scene. However, “My Virtual Misty” fails to satisfy on account of Ms. Rains’ excessive vocal tendencies. I’m into sex talk like the next guy, but Misty gets downright agitating with her “dirty talk” attempts.
