Mrs. Jones is a video about a well-to-do bar owner, seduced by a handsome stranger who turns out to be the front man in a plot to rob Mrs. Jones’ establishment. In the end, however, the tables are turned on the stranger and his crew when one of their own sides with Mrs. Jones and sets them up.
Scene 1 starts 3 minutes into the movie before any dialog is exchanged, forgoing any of that “introduction to the plot” B.S. that most of us simply fast forward through, and were it a better scene this would be a welcome directorial decision. Sadly, the scene doesn’t grab you as one would be hoping, and instead is a run-of-the-mill tacked on scene to serve as filler. It features Joelean, a good looking blonde doing Joel Lawrence, who in this scene looks old enough to be her fathers young friend. Despite Joelean’s mediocre acting and dry (as in her pussy stays drier than the Mojave desert) performance, she still gives a spirited reaction to Lawrence’s two position fucking and continues to do so through his thin, watery cumshot.
Scene 2 begins with Mrs. Jones picking up a stranger (Nick Manning) in her bar. There are a couple of clever one-liners and then jumps to the two in a bedroom romp. This is actually an enjoyable sex scene and La Veaux gives a good performance, but the awkward camera angles the director chooses at random points during the scene are very distracting. At one point it’ll be a straight forward wide angle shot, and the next thing you know, you’re seeing a sideways view of a blowjob. It was definitely a big distraction to an otherwise enjoyable scene.
Scene 3 features a trashy looking young couple in an impromptu fuck on a pool table. Like the others, it displays the same 2 positions of missionary and doggy style in a banal performance. The scene redeems itself, however, at the when we see Ava Vincent blasted with a couple of good jizz shots.
In scene 4, Venus plays a brunette barfly who seduces the bartender (Steve Hatcher) into an over the counter fuck leading to the only anal scene in the video. The forced performance and visible surgery marks on Venus definitely took away from the scene, but seeing her catch a wad of cum directly in the eye made for an enjoyable ending.
Scene 5 has Shayla La Veaux and Ava Vincent sharing a lesbian experience celebrating the thwarting of the plot against Mrs. Jones (La Veaux). Although it starts off slowly with some tedious cunnilingus, the scene picks up with the introduction of a liquid-filled glass rod. Watching La Veauxs sinewy body convulse under Vincent’s assault with the rod is one of the most enjoyable scenes of the entire video.
DVD Features
Chapter Selection leads to the beginning of the sex scenes and credit shots, leaving little room for precision navigation. The Photo gallery features great shots of actresses and key moments during the scenes. The gallery makes the movie look much better than it actually is. The only problem is that most of the shots are partially washed out.
The special features include interactive PC features and video extras that added to a good post-video experience. There are trailers of different videos that actually look promising. There’s also some behind the scenes interviews and some commentary from the director.
Final Verdict
Although not one for the record books, Mrs. Jones still provides an arousing porn-viewing experience, and the special features give the opportunity for enjoyment beyond the video itself, as well as some trailers to other films that might cater better to different tastes (i.e. Bordello Blues, Hercules, and XXX-Training).
