Michael Lucas’ Auditions series puts porn pros in bed with guys who are brand new to the scene. Everything is shot with one camera, with live sound, and the results are often, as would be expected, a mixed bag. The 6th film in the series is distinct from its predecessors primarily for a threeway between Lucas, returning pro Lamb, and sexy Jersey boy Brad Starr which reaches sizzling heights.

All the scenes open with an interview. Any confusion about Starr’s inclusion (he’s a little less defined and more average than most Lucas stars) immediately begin to disappear as soon as he opens up about being bisexual but preferring women, moving to Fort Lauderdale to live in a live-cam house, and his self-proclaimed outstanding cocksucking skills which are immediately called upon to test his truthfulness. The action builds slowly and at first Lamb seems to be the third wheel. But when Lucas begins to get ready to fuck Starr, the bottom reveals that it has been a long time since he has done this kind of thing, and he needs to work up to it. From that moment on, the scene is burning hot. Lucas tops Starr who eventually takes a turn on top of Lamb. The scene exemplifies all that is great about pro-am porn. The sex is incredibly real from the pleasure to the hesitation to the ultimate release. It alone makes the viewing experience worthwhile.

In another scene, Lamb is paired with new guy CK. After a surprisingly touching interview about break-ups, Lamb bottoms for CK with great pleasure and cums while getting plowed before deep throating CK to orgasm.

For the twink lover, Sebasthian joins Ian James and is offered an almost comical amount of butt-toys to choose from to use on the blonde newbie. It is a little off-putting, but the passion between the two sells it. The toys come out again for Kevin Wood who works over hunky, butch Kent Larson with a large dildo before power-fucking him. If there’s a downside to the movie, it’s probably the opening scene with returning star Wilson Vasquez and lean, flexible dancer Ray Lindo. Vasquez seems vaguely disinterested, and Lindo, for all his excitement, is a bit awkward. Try as they may, there isn’t a great deal of chemistry between the two, and they seem an odd choice to get the movie started.

Auditions 6 hits some very real high points. No one scores higher than cover boy Brad Starr, but a few of the performers do come awfully close. There’s a little bit of something for everyone, and though it is a bit uneven, that has to be expected given the format.
