Get them in, get them up, get them off, and get them out. This is the opening statement of Memoirs of Mika Tan: Happy Endings, but it fails at one thing; getting them up. The film falls victim (like so many productions in the adult film industry) to attempting to please every standard fetish and taste, instead of picking a particular fetish or concept, and being very specific, it bounces around from Asian massage parlor to full on Blonde lesbian three way.
The women in Happy Endings are (of course) definitely a plus, I know that sounds like something that goes without saying, but Mika Tan and Jade Hsu are two of the most beautiful Asian stars (next to Charemen Star, who, if she were in this flick, would have made for some very hot and memorable scenes). I think the big flaw with Happy endings is that it has one too many familiar scenes, Asian Masseuses are played out, we’ve seen them since the dawn of porn time, we need to liven it up just a little bit.
Okay, enough with the bad, on with the good. One of the things I like a lot about this pic are the cum shots, the sex might seem a bit stilted, but somehow they achieve full orgasms, they’re sloppy, messy, and a lot of fun. My particular favorite is the very first one in the flick: Annie Cruz takes a load in the mouth while moaning uncontrollably. I know this doesn’t sound like much, but she definitely awakens the senses (at least sight and sound).
I have to say one of the coolest things about Happy Endings is that you can download the whole movie onto your iPod, I think this is something more titles and studios should do (especially titles from Vivid), everybody likes having porn on the go.
My major problem with what I was watching is that everything seems too forced, it’s forced hotness. There is, however, a bit of playful humor here and there. Mika Tan goes from a Madam Geisha to a southern girl just looking to get off by the final scene, she handles both accents rather well.
It’s not that this is a horrible movie, but you could find dozens of other just like it by randomly reaching into the Asian adult cinema section at your local video rental store and pales in comparison to something on the level of Reign Of Tera (Starring Tera Patrick and a bunch of other Asian hotties) for example. Reign, however, is still not available for iPod viewing.
