Tom Byron spent 20 years at the business end of the skin-flick camera, making his name as a prodigious porn star who made up with performance what he lacked in looks. Now more often to be found behind the scenes, Bryon maintains his fast-and-furious style, producing fast-paced, unscripted features that value substance over style. Tom Byron Pictures is fast becoming a big name in the industry.

Byron’s latest offering is Masturbation Nation, an assembly of 16 lovely ladies who tease themselves to orgasm in front of Byron’s camera lens. Considering that most porn films deliver just half a dozen scenes, Masturbation Nation promises a lot. There are no less than 16 scenes here and, miraculously, none of them feel rushed. One after the other, each girl peels off her panties or bikini and spreads herself for the audience, using their fingers to grunt, gasp and grind themselves to climax.

The girls are gorgeous. The fact that stunning starlets like Aurora Snow and Sasha Grey are among the hexadecet of masturbating maidens indicates the caliber of Tom Byron’s casting choices.

Most scenes feature a single girl, masturbating with just her saliva-slathered fingers. Only one scene features a dildo, which a cute redhead uses with enthusiasm. The only other scenario that breaks the mold turns out to be the highlight of the DVD: an episode in the middle of the DVD in which two girls appear together, flirting with a little lipstick lesbianism before flopping back on the sofa and racing each other to climax.

There’s not much variety here, but that’s okay since the entire movie is so slick and polished, with great camerawork, gorgeous girls and plenty of authentic-looking action. If girls jilling off is your thing, this is probably one of the finest DVDs catering to that particular fetish.

As with many Tom Byron features, there’s not a lot else to be found on the DVD, although there are several trailers for other Tom Byron features, many of which look exciting. That being said, the sheer volume of voluptuous lovelies featured in Masturbation Nation more than makes up for the lack of special features or bonus footage. This is a solid feature crammed with content and that alone should make it a very satisfying purchase.
