If you’re a fan of mystery and/or thriller films then add something different to your regular sexual favorites with Brad Armstrong’s Lovers Lane starring Devinn Lane. Think of Murder by Numbers meets Scream. Lovers Lane brings us to the town of Montgomery where local Braxton College is preparing for a 10th year reunion. As the town gets ready and old classmates arrive, so does a serial killer. The murders begin with current college students progressing to the reunion attendees.
Devinn Lane is Sheriff Sara Blake who investigates the murders and eventually has to partner with Agent Roberts. As the two search for the person who uses a hook to kill his victims, Sara reveals to Agent Roberts more and more details about her sister’s murder and the similarities these murders share. The “Hook Man” mainly strikes young college couples after they’ve had sex.
In the beginning of the movie most of the sexual activity takes place between young couples at night, in various automobiles, and in some outdoor locations. More toward the end of the movie, during the reunion is when the killer begins to strike the attendees. The various old classmates have steamy sex with each other to ease old grudges and for personal satisfaction in places like the nurse’s office and the gym.
Devinn Lane has a longer sex scene with her fictional partner Agent Roberts in his hotel room before the reunion releasing some sexual tension. At the party the two dance and keep “an eye on things”. The Hook Man strikes a final time as the reunion begins to wind down. This leads to a chase then a confrontation between Sheriff Blake, a former classmate Allison and the killer.
Devinn Lane gives a convincing performance both with her dialogue in the movie and her sexual talents in her sex scene. It was, however, disappointing to see her in only one sex scene toward the end of the movie. The other sex scenes were more seductive than hot and the delivery of some of the dialogue caused the movie to drag slightly. The sets were high-end and the music complimented the movie well. Overall, this is a good film if you want to divert a little from your usual buying habits.
The DVD extra features include audio setup, numbered chapters, trailers of Lovers Lane and other Wicked Pictures, bonus sex scenes from the movie, the making of Lovers Lane, photos of the Cast, an interview with Wicked’s exclusive contract star Devinn Lane, Web links and more. LoversLane
