Ever since Snoop Dogg and Lil Jon flirted with the adult film industry a few years back with appearances in a couple of DVDs, there has been a growing trend to mix hip hop and porn. This has lead to the phenomenon known as “uncut” videos. The premise behind uncut videos is that the average hip-hop video is shown on television with any heavy sexual content censored. The uncut video therefore shows all the sexual goods. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Well, uncut videos are not only an example of poor quality hip-hop, but also poor quality porn.

Every uncut video is the same. It features some up and coming rapper and a cast of girls from the local strip club. The videos are usually filmed in some guy’s house with a pool. The girls shake their asses and flash their tits and pussy. The rapper’s posse waves their hands in the air and smacks the asses of the girls dancing. The music is really mediocre and the videos are repetitive. This paint-by-numbers approach to making a music video doesn’t work for porn either.

This leads us to the latest uncut video, Kurupt Uncut. More than just a music video, Kurupt Uncut is also sort of a mock “behind the scenes” view of the making of the video. The video stars the rapper known as Kurupt. I know what you’re thinking. Don’t worry, I never heard of him either. Kurupt doesn’t actually appear much in the DVD. Other than the actual music video part, Kurupt stays off camera. The majority of the screen time is devoted to capturing various members of his posse sweet-talking and conning the video girls to have sex with them.

I use the term sex in this review loosely. You see all the sex acts depicted in Kurupt Uncut are simulated! This DVD is in fact an uncut video of fake sex. What the hell is the point of that? In all fairness, the girls in this DVD aren’t professional porn starlets. Furthermore, the video girls in uncut videos tend to not get paid for their services, which would make convincing them to have sex on camera a little challenging for any director. The way that the sex is simulated is down right laughable at times. In one shot, a girl is sucking off a guy, but his foot is right in front of the camera blocking the view. If this was a foot fetish film, it would be no problem, but seriously, who wants to see the sole of some guy’s foot for an entire scene?

The DVD starts off with credits claiming that Kurupt Uncut is a presentation of Larry Flynt. The Hustler logo doesn’t appear anywhere in the film or box cover. I don’t blame him; I wouldn’t want this film to soil my company’s reputation. A rather fine looking performer named Dream introduces the film by cursing the viewers out. She talks at a million words per minute, but I did pick up a few profanities and shout outs before ending with the warning of, “if you got a problem with that, eat a dick.” This girl’s attitude turned me off before I had a chance to watch the film.

The one star I gave Kurupt Uncut is for all the ass that is in it. I’m serious when I say ass. There are countless shots of big, luscious round butts. The girls are all proud of their brown dimpled butts and they show them off enthusiastically. The biggest butt award goes to Cherokee. The camera follows her behind as she sashays around the set. Without any real sex, the DVD is really just countless shots of women jiggling their asses to some beats. I have no problem with that, but that isn’t enough to fill out an entire DVD. Definitely not enough to spend money on. The music video is included as a bonus feature which I couldn’t bring myself to watch. If you’re trying to keep it real, avoid Kurupt Uncut.
