Joanna Angel has everything a man could want in a porn actress; she’s beautiful, has a great body, tons of attitude, and she knows how to handle things from the other side of the camera as well. The problem is that Joanna has too many good ideas which she turns into reality while behind the camera. Joanna Angel’s Guide to Humping is full of interesting camera shots, quirky dialogue, and an actual plot (a very basic plot). The sex, however, was nothing all too special.

Joanna posts flyers for a sex workshop, which is attended by a small group of porn stars (though only one woman from class is in a sex scene, not counting our instructor Ms. Angel). Each character is a humorous cliché, though this is not your average breakfast club; there’s the stoner guy, the bad ass, the raver chick, the good girl, the foreign girl, the token black guy, the nerd, and the two jocks (who never come out of their football gear, helmets and all). Joanna is the class instructor and each lesson leads to an instructional sex video where the goal of the lesson is presented.

Depending on your taste, there are a few different scenes you can choose to begin with. If you’re like me then you’re going to head straight to scene two where alt-porn chicks Chapel Waste and Kylee Kross spend some quality time with each other. The opening contains some very nice oral foreplay with plenty of chest adoration. Both girls take turns eating and fingering each other before Kylee bends over for a dildo DP. Chapel enjoys her time as dominator, slowly working each dildo into each orifice, but when Kylee stands up and straps-on the tables are totally turned. Some scenes (sex and non-sex related) are filmed with a creative eye that you won’t often see in adult films, and there’s a good reason why. Joanna’s directing talents steal away from the rest of the film. Remember, people bought this film for sexual stimulation, not independent-style filming and corny jokes. I give Joanna all the credit I can for her talents because she is amazing in front of or behind the camera, with her clothes on and off. I only wish she would take her intelligent, wild eye and focus it on a way to make hot sex even hotter.
