To get right to the point, this film took the two of us by surprise via two misconceptions. The title and flavor text on the back of the DVD led us to think that this was perhaps a drama or a similar film set using the adult film industry as the backdrop. That is not the case. The word “industry” is used in this film in as in “industrial” and that describes the setting. All of the scenes take place in factory settings like power rooms, tool stations, and service corridors.

The second misconception comes right from the setting itself. Once you get into the film, you see that director Chi Chi La Rue was working this from a “pseudo-cyberpunk-post-apocalyptic” angle. This is evidenced by the little opening nihilistic statements before the sex begins. All of the actors are wearing “pseudo-military-semi-mercenary-sort-of-cyber gear", which of course still leaves nothing to the imagination. The problem with this angle is that it leads the viewer to look for a story where there is none.

Now, the sex in Industry is a little bit more than okay; in fact, it’s rather hot. Three of the five scenes feature Mercedez and she does put on a show. The second scene is a girl on girl goodie featuring Jenna Haze in a bed-length cage. The two women play with themselves and each other working around the bars in the cage and eventually, Mercedez makes her way inside of it and then things really get down and dirty. The two girls use sex toys and blinkie sticks to get themselves and each other off in various ways.

The third scene is some group fun featuring Mercedez, Barbara Summer, Jean Val Jean, and Manuel Ferrara getting busy on some benches inside of what appears to be an instrument room. The two girls get their tongues busy and into each other before the boys show up, but when they do get there, it’s all “hips, lips, and fingertips” with the four of them. After some serious sucking on both men, the two girls get Ferrara off with their mouths, and then Mercedez works her ass on Val Jean’s cock until he explodes all over both girls.

The fourth scene features Jamie Huxley, Nicole Sheridan, and Voodoo in a fun threesome. Jade and her friends were quite pleased with the variety of “man candy” referring to Val Jean, Ferrara, and Voodoo. Sheridan always puts on a hell of a performance, and Voodoo puts the dick to both of the girls making this one hell of a fuck fest which is fun for both the girls and the boys.

Technically, the film is somewhat dark and that takes a bit away from some of the visuals but aside from that, no complaints. The only reason we’re giving this film three and a half stars is that we were thrown off by the overall direction of the film. The sex is pretty good, but you aren’t getting exactly what is advertised. Now, if you are a Mercedez fan, then kick the rating up another half star, as you will get a lot of this award-winning Latin beauty, including a bonus scene. Otherwise, ignore the title, the DVD flavor text, setting, and just enjoy the hot sex.
