On a narrative level, Hustler’s Campus Confessions is highly flawed – its premise hanging on a thin thread of plausibility thanks to its narrator, Sweet, who possesses the inability to effectively read a line or two of simple dialogue, or act convincingly. In the first few minutes of her appearance it’s obvious that several takes were done and then stitched together in an attempt to make some sort of coherent whole. But Sweet does serve some narrative purpose: to explain the premise of the film, introduce the vignettes and provide some sort of context. It comes off a bit clichéd as our narrator explains that the film is a sort of sociological study of how wild the girls are at the colleges "out east."

The first vignette is supposedly in a college chemistry lab – a lab which oddly takes on the look of a doctor’s office, complete with the uncomfortable examination table – with Tristan Saegull and Lauren Phoenix as young science students, diligently performing a science experiment...until driven mad with lust. And although the situation seems highly unlikely and downright ridiculous, Phoenix and Saegull provide a primal energy, fucking with a frantic and desperate abandon. They act like they’re really into each other and enjoy the sex with one another. However, the shots of each position feels as if it goes on a bit too long, despite the change of camera angles and perspective. If only the rest of vignettes contained the raw energy of Lauren Phoenix and Tristan Saegull’s scenes...

The second vignette has Randy Spears, a veteran of many films as a lawyer/investor type who seduces a young student, Alexa, in his office. This vignette suffers from a severe lack of passion or energy. Alexa appears at points simultaneously bored, listless, and downright frightened. Spears appears sleazy – like a dirty old man, hitting on a young, foolish college girl. Lacking any sort of energy or urgency Alexa and Spears’ scenes feel sluggish and exhaustingly tedious. The third vignette with Tatianna and Jay despite the stupid dialogue returns a certain urgent energy back to the movie. Jay appears to love eating Tatianna’s pussy and Tatianna appears to love sucking Jay off. However, the cuts in this chapter are abrupt and jumpy which causes a sense of distraction. The anal scenes are hot, but after a while (and this is a common facet of this film) they feel as if they go on a bit too long. Tatianna and Jay’s scenes are also the most poorly edited as even the most unenlightened viewer can tell that part of it is looped footage.

The fourth chapter has Eve and Kimberly Kane as college roommates who also are lovers. Watching Kane and Eve together is extremely hot as they act like they desire one another. Strangely, theirs is the only vignette that has music for some inexplicable reason.

The fifth and final scene is the strangest of them all, and it makes the least sense. It starts off as the story of a girl who gets seduced by her girlfriend’s boyfriend that suddenly turns into their fantasy of being porn stars. The cut into this fantasy is so quick that it’s difficult to discern what’s going on. And the people who play the fantasy role come off as they’re merely doing a job and will clock out at the end of the day. They appear to act as if it’s their job to fake it but it’s not very convincing.

Overall, Hustler’s Campus Confessions # 10: in New York is very serviceable as a film not offering much in the way of a plot, story or acting but offering some hot sex scenes. It doesn’t go beyond the naughty but those who are uncomfortable with anal sex might frankly be repulsed as most of the scenes portray some degree of anal sex. The special features aren’t very revealing nor do they offer much in the way of perspective. But if you want some hot sex, it’ll be something you’d love to watch.
