Hot Shots Double Feature Volume 1 is a combination of Hot Shots Volume 1 and Hot Shots Volume 2. Volume 1 is a compilation of pre-condom scenes from vintage porn movies. Volume 2 is a compilation of masturbation scenes from 70s and 80s porn movies. Volume 1 is by far more engrossing than Volume 2 for the simple reason that there is actual sex between men going on throughout it. Volume 2 is for individuals more into masturbation scenes.

Volume 1 begins with the hottest scene of the bunch, starring Tony Lee and Greg Miers. Men who think that modern day porn is the be all and end all of gay porn should really check this scene out. Miers is a top that stays in control of the scene from beginning to end and believe me, that’s not easy considering that Lee is an extremely aggressive bottom. This scene is kinky with a great deal of aggression displayed by both men. Miers knows that Lee is eager to give him a blowjob, but he toys with Lee. The main issue I have with this movie is it’s editing. It is obvious the portions of scenes were cut out. Even the two scenes that I mentioned above seem to be edited quite awkwardly. Couples jump from one stage of sex to another within seconds. Since most scenes follow this pattern I have to assume that the scenes were edited purposefully for this compilation from their original. I think the scenes in this movie were well chosen. Why do any of these scenes have to be edited, couldn’t they have just been placed in as is?

I’m truly on the fence with this one. I don’t think that it is a bad movie, but the editing just seems like butchery to me. I enjoyed what I saw, but I can’t help thinking that I would have enjoyed it more if there were more to be seen.
