I’m an outgoing guy who likes to try new things to see how I may feel about them. This brings me to my review of Hip Hop Uncut, a ‘Eurocore’ film from Poland (that’s what it says on the case at least). I always thought that European porno would be exotic or kinky in its own special kind of way. This is my first official European adult film (excluding downloads off of TGP movie sites, which really doesn’t count) and thanks to the sexy action pictures on the back of the case, I was expecting some exciting sex scenes. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Almost every aspect of Hip Hop Uncut is below par except for the actresses. The movie is a foreign production with foreign actors, which means they speak in a foreign language. Although this point doesn’t harm the film in anyway, it doesn’t help the film either. There’s an odd premise about a couple of rappers and a concert, which is hard to follow without the English language. Then again the plot really doesn’t seem too interesting anyway.
The major drawbacks of the film are the camera work, and story scenes thrown in throughout the movie. Karl Stremski is noted as an acclaimed video director which one can see when watching the movie. However this is not a music video and people are not interested in music video style; they’re interested in sexual action, up close and personal. Stremski’s camera shots capture the sex from basic angles such as woman on top and doggy style. The viewer never gets any closer than a shot of the woman being eaten out and then the action is blocked by a face or a head.
Most of the time it feels like the whole thing is being filmed by a hand-held camera; the shots are shaky and the camera never finds those interesting angles that drive us adult film fans crazy. Adding to the lack of viewable action was the story shots in between some scenes. This film has something to do with music or rap stars or something and for some reason there is an überlame concert towards the end, which becomes the only extra accessible on the DVD. The music is repetitive and bad containing nothing close to a hip hop soundtrack at all.
The one nice thing about this movie is the ladies. They are attractive and sexy but add no real sexual energy to the film. There are eight sex scenes in the film including a three girl vibrator circle and a man, two girl double team at the end. It sounds exciting but it’s not. The camera shots are below standard, the sex is unenthusiastic, and the storyline is pointless yet thrown in between scenes anyway. Europe has got to have nastier porno to offer than this.
