Those for whom the Latin type holds enduring appeal will delight in Golden Boys, a film that pretty much delivers what it promises: golden boys engaging in a variety of sex acts (though I might say coffee-colored, young men fucking like animals).
There’s little chatter and no semblance of a plot in this movie, just a lot of action set to the sounds of nature – birdcalls and ‘jungle’ noises – and a typically absurd soundtrack. The first scene opens with two slim, handsome men making out pretty methodically (kissing, nipple licking) with hard-ons, which means they’re overcome with lust, though I couldn’t help wish they would lie down. Sometimes fucking in the woods seems romantic, and sometimes it just seems uncomfortable. Still, throw in some authentic-sounding murmurs of pleasure and well-earned come shots, and the results are more than satisfying.
There are some silly, arty tricks used as transitions between scenes, but they can’t elevate this film from what it is: six scenes of hot sex between two handsome young men. These men are virtually indistinguishable (I went back to see if any of the performers pop up more than once, but I was too distracted to find the answer) but they’re a specific and hard to find type – handsome, with toned but not insanely gym-built bodies, with unwaxed assholes, and pleasantly average cocks – so it’s not bad to see a parade of them. Still, it’s worth noting that there’s not a lot of variety, even if there is a lot of detail – great camera angles that put the assholes close enough to lick, the heavy sound of balls smacking flesh as an ass gets a workout, and the contrast of pearly cum on golden skin. But those who are easily bored might want to steer clear of this movie. Those who don’t mind watching two hot, young Latin types fuck on the grass, well, your ship has come in.
This disc comes with a bonus DVD called ‘Peepshow,’ which showcases clips from a host of this studio’s titles organized into categories – Stud Farm, Sexual Chocolate, Young & Hung, Bareback, Classic – whose meanings are obvious. It’s a nice package of teasers, one of the more successful of such catalogues that I’ve encountered. It’s obviously a sales tool, but it actually does feel like a bonus, and is certainly worth checking out. GoldenBoys
