There’s little in the world of porn that’s new and exciting. After all, there are only so many positions and so many things one can do with a body. Given this, many films still manage to make sex appear exciting and invigorating, even though you’re basically seeing what you have a million times before, only dressed, or undressed in a slightly different fashion. I was hoping this would be the case with Adam & Eve’s "GirlGasms"; after all, with a production company named after the first couple, I expected something a little, well, original. Unfortunately, instead of being treated to a few well-done scenes, I was raced through a series of brief encounters, some which ended in completion for the actors, none ending in satisfaction for the viewer.

There’s nothing bad to say about this film, per say. The fucking is ok, but not stellar. The actors aren’t drop dead gorgeous, but there’s no need to get out the brown paper bags either. We don’t have a winner for the worst porn ever here, just the least memorable. In fact, after watching 2+ hours of movie, I find it hard to recall any striking images from this film. Each scene repeated the prior with nothing to mix it up. I don’t consider myself overly picky, but I can only watch so many versions of doggie or reverse cowgirl with cheesy costumes before I start to long for some anal or double penetration.

I can’t even find anything to say about the technical aspects of the film; the lighting was occasionally glaring and the camera work sometimes grainy, but overall it was okay. In fact, if I were to choose one adjective to describe this film, it would be just that: okay. Not a horrible way to spend two and a half hours as long as all you’re looking for is something to pass the time.

If I were to stretch, the only scene I could really find to remark on would be the second scene entitled “The Duchess” (yes, they all come complete with goofy titles). This scene stands out if only for the ambiance; the idea of sex on a moonlit balcony with the reflection of the pool dancing on the rose covered walls is alluring. Both actors make sex against the railing look enticing and not the slightest bit painful. The blowjob is decent and the sex believable but not as orgasmic as the actress tries to convince us. This scene left me slightly more enthused than the ten prior, but didn’t have me running for either my vibe or my man.

If you’re looking for a compilation of average, run of the mill sex, this film is for you (although be forewarned that some scenes are definitely aiming for those with a bit of a foot fetish). But if what you’re looking is something to excite and stimulate, look elsewhere. When there’s so much good porn out there, it’s hard to rationalize wasting over two hours watching something that’s just average. Do yourself a favor and skip this film. Adam and Eve should stick to toys and leave films to those more adventuresome.
