Wicked Pictures offers up another quality film with Jim Enright’s Getting Personal. Star Jayna Oso delivers a titillating performance as Gabrielle, an author in need of a provocative storyline for her next article. Less gonzo and more plot, the film consists of five very different sex scenes, tied together by a voice-over narration furthering the storyline.
Gabrielle turns to alternative newspaper singles ads for inspiration for her article. The thought alone of these ads leads us into the intense first scene where we find Gabrielle alone on her bed with her thoughts, her vibrators and her able hands.
Gabrielle answers an ad offering a “weekend of sexual intensity and discovery”, hoping to find her literary fodder while testing her sexual limits. She arrives at the mansion of the wealthy Dorian (Randy Spears), escorted by the sexy Cami (Haley Page), and begins her weekend of sexual awakening.
The second sex scene is between Jayna and Haley, which finds them bathing together and playing with dildos and each other. While the shaving sequence will probably make you cringe a little, these girls have excellent chemistry throughout and are both stunningly beautiful.
The remainder of the film depicts Gabrielle’s journey into the sordid world Dorian has created for her and the rest of his guests and their various sexual exploits. The best of the bunch is the final group sex scene where Venus makes her appearance wielding a strap-on, which goes to good use fulfilling Gabrielle.
Much should be said about Wicked Studios and the quality production level of Getting Personal. The costumes, while occasionally outrageous, were almost as interesting as the sex scenes themselves and added to the fantastically erotic nature of the subject matter.
Navigating the scenes was easy (there were only a few, after all) and there is a behind the scenes featurette which gives us a sneak peek at the impossibly horny cast during the shooting of the film.
In the end, the movie has a very sex-positive message of sexual liberation and awareness. Gabrielle is free to explore her deepest fantasies, and while she doesn’t necessarily encourage her “readers” to answer similar advertisements, she encourages them to write in with their own experiences, revelations and personal anecdotes. In all, this is a very enjoyable film and worth checking out. GettingPersonal
