Oh, no. Adultery! It's coming to your town! Director Paul Thomas has said before that he loves to play with 'real life' themes, and adultery is certainly one of them. In the movie, Paul Thomas plays himself, a porn director, who is longing for an interesting life. Lucky for him, life is about to get really interesting, really hot, and really quick.
Q: What do you do when a mobster holds you up for 1.5 million clams?
A: Flee to a suburb in Middle America and exploit the townspeople by filming them fuck for money.
Q: But what happens if the sheltered exploits don't know how to make an interesting fuck?
A: Just fly in a porn star from L.A. to teach them how, exactly, to get down and dirty.
The wives of Sinclair Heights get their panties in a bunch when the very sexy Lexy shows up at their doors in a hot-pink-disco-femme-school-girl-bondage number. Lexy consoles the wives by saying that its not their men she's after. Whew! But, she does them anyway. In the beginning, the wives can't handle it, but by the end, one by one, they each become transformed into an ultimate swinger.
If you begin to wonder why the hell are you sitting through a dim-lit 20 minute orgy, don't freak. The director is trying to bring viewers up for a shock. After the cum shot, someone will be mysteriously dead. Interested yet?
If you're not, then you will be after you find out about the epic sex scene that features Vanessa Lane, newcomer to the scene, taking it twice. Paul Thomas reveals something new of himself in this movie, that all he wants is for something interesting to happen. Could this be what all of the sex, lies, and deceit are about?
The concept of amateur porn inside feature porn is grand, though the movie is shot on 35 mm film and sometimes overexposed with no color correction. The movie is a power-packed drama with an ultra-serious plot, which may be appealing only to a more mature audience.
DVD extras include a nice 20 minute behind-the-scenes view of the film, as well as scenes organized by position, and random Vivid girl shorts. There is a time and place for everything, right? hat being true, the time and place for this film would be a rainy day on your mother's soap-opera watching couch. FadetoBlack2
