The motto for the production of Eye Candy 2 might have been "don't waste time." When you put the DVD in your player, it doesn't waste time loading a menu, it just starts right into the first scene. And the scenes don't waste any time either -- there are no interviews, just screwing right from the get-go.
Another motto Kyle Phillips might have had in mind is "no surprises" -- the six scenes stick closely to porn conventions. All but one open with oral sex (69 in three of them) and quickly move to fucking. There's usually a short break for more oral, then back to the old in-and-out until the standard facial to end the scene. They take place in typical porn settings: a room with a bar and a sofa, a bedroom, a bathroom, a garage with a weight bench. Nicer than the other porn standby -- the cheap motel room -- to be sure, and the bench and bar allow more variation in positions. The girls are cute (some more so than others) in a girl-next-door way, but they don't look like pornstars.
Kimberly Kane gets the central spot on the cover, and the first scene. She's blonde and nipple-pierced, and puts in a decent performance with believable arousal. However, she's overshadowed by Sabrina Snow in the next scene. Sabrina's the cutest girl in this title with nice tits, a fantastic ass, and short, dirty blond hair. She is the most enthusiastic performer. There are some audio problems, but this scene feels most "real," due to Sabrina's energy; it's also the only scene in the bedroom, and the occasional view of a messy desk helps it seem less staged.
Sabrina's scene shines compared to scene three with Amber Peach, easily the worst on the disc. I don't think it's coincidence that it also has the most dialog -- I'm not opposed to talking in porn, but Amber chirping, "It's like a popsicle...but, like, a hot-sicle," as she sucks Phillips's dick doesn't help the mood. For the rest of the scene, he gives Amber step-by-step directions, which I found distracting.
Jennifer Vale in scene four is much better, but could do with a sandwich and a good night's sleep. Jennifer and Sabrina, by the way, aren't named on the box cover; you have to wait for the credits to find out their names. And the redhead in scene five, who's listed as "Pamela" on the cover, is credited as Claire Days. Her scene happens in the shower, which is turned on about halfway through the scene, and adds some variety to an otherwise very by-the-numbers disc. Claire herself looks kind of bored by the end of the scene, though.
Ann Harlow is last, and her scene is in the garage. Most of the fucking happens on the weight bench, and there's the occasional noise of a plane flying overhead. But that wasn't as much of a distraction for me as Ann herself. Jennifer is skinny, but Ann is scrawny. That's a matter of taste, of course, but I'd rather not be able to see that much of her skeleton. The bonus scene brings Jennifer back. She and Kyle are fucking on the sofa again, only to be "caught" by her "boyfriend" (the cameraman). A threesome naturally ensues, including some double-vaginal. The bonus scene is short, but I liked it better than Jennifer's main scene.
There aren't many frills on this DVD, and it obviously wasn't intended for start-to-finish viewing, but the video quality is good, and most of the sex is pretty hot, if not terribly imaginative. If you're into fresh-faced girls, and you like your porn actors to shut up and have sex already, this is a decent buy. It doesn't try to be more than it is, or do anything innovative, but it doesn't fall short of its goals. EyeCandy2
